Churchills need the old armor back

I think the churchills (mkvii and croc) need their old armor back or some of it. For being heavy tanks basically everything penetrates. Because if this the higher HP pool means nothing. Theses tanks are slower than molasses and have a crappy gun against tanks. I don't know why everyone complained to the point of a fat nerf and a price increase. One or the other would have been fine. What's the point a spearhead unit with crappy gun if it can't spearhead in with support.

I kind of agree that churchills have been overnerfed. Either cost needs to be reverted, or armor does. But please nerf the grenades thrown from the hatch. They are just insane.

Guys, you can't have huge HP pool and +/-300 armor.
If anything, lower Churchill's price.

The churchills were the only tanks Brits had that could get up close and personal. Now they have a shitty gun and shredded paper exterior. It can barely fight tanks and can't spearhead like it used to. What good is it then? It's a waste of 180 fuel and free HP for the panthers. The croc is the only good one that can at least scare away or melt infantry, but for 230 fuel its a risk to build unless you have comet or firefly support for AT. And like 3 to 4 engineers cause it constantly needs to be repaired. BB guns penetrate the damn things even. Its pathetic that all the axis fan boys cried cause they were actually competition for them tank wise and they got nerfed into the ground.

If you don't think the old Churchill at Brits release was OP then you're on crack.

Personally I think it was at a good place at 150 Fuel for its performance - just scale back the price and its fine.

IMO from the start Churchills should have had 1280hp and Tiger level armour. They should basically have been Tigers that have very slightly lower top speeds and a Cromwell main gun instead of the Tiger main gun, justifying their non-doc status and lower cost.

I agree that Researching Anvil + Churchill now costs the same fuel as the Tiger. So like wtf Churchill and Tiger are the same?! Reducing the cost back to 150 or buffing something else is necessary. And here's my playercard top 150 as Brits in 1v1 :hansREKT:

Churchill should cost less, that is about it.

If it were to be revamped, it needs to lose that enormous HP pool as it's pretty much the biggest middle finger to flanking it.

I tend to agree that they need a buff, especially since I very rarely see them in games right now, but I'll refrain from saying what exactly that buff should be.

Cost almost as much as comet, yet is completely unable to pull that cost weight in comparison to comet.

Armor/health nerfs were fine, bumping its cost led to exact situation which happened in alpha, where no one EVER get a churchill, because it was stupid to get it when there was a comet.

And that was OLD 1600hp 300 armor churchill.

Maybe it's 'cause the Axis players aren't a bunch of forum crybabies, and they keep their cool and fight the uphill battle, unlike some of their "allied" counterparts.

Cost decrease is the way to go. Its still a solid tank, but the cost increase hurt. Return it to what it was and its golden.
