Are you suggestion Relic should just remove a faction from the game instead of actually balancing it? Also weird to see in your playercard that you only play OKW. :luvDerp:

Searchlight is a joke compared to vet3 sc with scopes. Ez maphack on maps like crossing.

I hate that thing, combined with indirect fire and a pak43 on certain maps can be a pain in the ass.

On topic: 222 with scopes is way more powerfull in my eyes, since enemy cant see what you see unlike IRHT/Valentine.

Badabim! Spot on Kappa. Also I've to agree with the scopes, vet 3 + scopes = map hack. It's more unfair than the IRHT and Valentine.

I wouldn´t mind a set up delay for the Uhu. Currently it can get out of trouble easily by simply reversing. It should have a pack up time of 4-5 seconds. This way some counter play could be involved rather than it driving away the moment someone comes close.

ON topic. Consatns scan completly prevetns any flanks. A bit OP... Relic, cooldown please.

Make it an active ability with a 1 min cool down or something. In large team games this unit is cancer as it spots for the LeIg spam and makes flanking damn near impossible.

Hello.

I am quite surprised to see a balance topic on this unit. I almost never see it. Well yes, it is a spotter, it is his job. And yes it is strong...only with the good setup of barrage units. And yes it is strong, you actually paid for it. Quite normal to have a return.
Lets not forget that OST and UKF also have a long range spotter that can shoot back if you approach too much. Ok, thoses ones can't see through walls. big deal.

Yes, unfortunately it's doctrinal, costs 8 CP, and loads of fuel. Has the same penetration and slower RoF compared to the AEC. I believe the range for searchlight is much farther as well and can be built in T1 and is non-doctrinal. Great support for indirect fire weapons and possibly spotting ambushes. UKF support weapons are... only mortar pit and suxton can't do crap

Terrible unit IMO. Requires no micro. Blech.

This game desperately needs scouting units that require talent and cunning to use effectively.

The issue I find that you can just put in one spot and spot 1/3 of most maps or more and considering OKW increased munitions means A LOT more cheap mines that can stop a hunting tank or something like that. It's also really cheap.

The main thing is that's really op with AT in matchmaking and I mean top 100 it's a nightmare as it's extremely hard to flank with it constantly spotting.

I do like a cooldown to it as to use it like recon for 20 seconds than wait again.

I'd rather not see a non-combat, unarmed unit require so much micromanagement to be useful in the first place.

Obvious fix is to just have the detection not count stealthed units, re snipers. But I can't help but assume Relic is just not capable of delivering such a technical feat as tweaking IR halftrack's beam characteristics.

Oh, and yes of course same should be for Valentine tank's ability.
