Pretty sure there will be no reason to defend the centaur if the brits had a proper early AI weapon which can be used offensively.
Unlike the Ostwind, the Centaur does a rather bad job in chasing down retreating units. Just keep distance and you won't suffer any more wipes.

No,just no. The centaur is one of the most overperforming units in the game without doubt.
Why do u think aimstrong uses it in every build ? 1 or 2 paks and u are fine.

Well, there isn't anyone truly (as in kinda reasonably) defending it. It is just Imba.
That said, Korean Army should have had a plan for countering it; can't go PaKs vs. current Centaur and this is a (money) tournament, so people will use the strongest units available.
It would have seemed less ridiculous if KA had teched for a fast StuG, I think.

can someone please post an example of the centaur one shotting a weapons team? i've yet to see it happen. i have seen 2 shots a couple of times though.

T-70like speed, mounted HMGs on every side, Flamethrowers as well and the HP of a churchill pls. Something fancy like minesweepers too or the imperial march once you've selected it would be cool. oh and Laz0rbeamz ofc.

So, LITERALLY the best CoH2 players IN THE WORLD cannot effectively counter this unit even knowing that it's coming, yet people in this topic say all you need to do to counter it is prepare for its arrival.

I suggest a large number of players ITT need to l2p vs brits. Maybe the likes of Korean Army should try something different other than "make pak wall until tiger".
Centaur does good DPS but it is slow and useless vs tanks, PIV/StuG or Jagdpanzer counters it fine.
God forbid you have to tech to counter an opponents shock vehicle.

This this and more this. Korean army out played him and nothing come of it (OP units = $5340, thanks relic! Although the ISU wasn't helping). The centaur destroys any unit that tries to faust it. It's damage out put is so high that if one doesn't retreat on impact they will lose a lot more than ground.
Increase the speed but decrease the damage.
