Getting T34/76 will make soviet player run out of control groups. Now In late game you ussualy have 9-10 control groups occupied even using better tanks than T34/76. Puting 2 units in 1 group is a way to lose those units esp tanks cuz they block the path for each other. Only double mortar, sniper and ATG are OK in 1 group.
My suggestion:
1. Replace T34\76 with 85 version.
2. Remove ML20 from 1v1 game (with its fire rate its bad in 1v1, dmg is irrelevant here cuz it cant hit target). And put t34/76 on its spot with 7 CP requirement.

I like ml20 and what if instead of coming at 7cp it comes with tier 3 (honestly I would just like to see 76 and 85 buff and price increase to make them viable, 85 being soviet panther)

i run all my same unit types in one control group, tanks included, since it's too damnn hard to differentiate control groups in a battle. if i need to micro one particular tank i just select it. there is a micro tax with any kind of spam though.

This is because only a handful of them were ever made compared to tens of tousands of panthers, pumas or ostwinds
Maybe it's 'cause the Axis players aren't a bunch of forum crybabies, and they keep their cool and fight the uphill battle, unlike some of their "allied" counterparts.

It could be in doctrines that have T-34/85 upgrade now. Make it like Valentine, 7-8 CP with useful ability for intelligence (T-70 on steroids) or like command panzer, with useful aura, but higher price, or change it to OT-34/76 with crappy flamer.

But really, T-34/85 is not a stock unit feels really bad....they are mass produced since end of 1943....they join every battle at eastern front during the late war stage..First off all. I quite like the 76, they're really dirt cheap and with the pop cap decrease you can royally spam them. Shame they have been reverted from 8 pop cap to 10

i want to like the t34/76. They should make it 8 pop cap instead of 10 like they are proposing. However, i still think it will be unattractive since the tank sucks

t70 kills infantry much better and cheaper while being available faster.
su85/su76 are so much more effective against armour.
there's so much better alternatives to them and they do nothing on the field.

However, with the great changes to soviet teching, I think that it is time to revert the old t34/76 changes and make it into an anti infantry tank again. Have it cost 100 fuel and become a better version of the T70, with better hp, armor, and slightly more at.
Boom, t34/76 becomes a perfectly viable lategame unit, that serves an unfilled roll in its factions lategame.
