7 were against either noobs or unranked scrubs. sorry.


One was against a rank 150000. The rest were within 150 or higher, and angreifen was rank 1.

One must also consider the fact that lower-ranked and skilled games play much differently than the top 200 ranked players.

If you had graphs of players in the top 200, 500-201, 501-1.000, 1.000-2.000, 2.001-4.000, 4.001-8.000, 8.000-15.000, then 15.000+ it would be different.

Those are really arbitrary numbers but, you know, whatever. The point is that it would be nice to get data from across all skill levels in order to make a more accurate decision about the win ratios of factions in 1v1.

remember when we did the whole lets shit ourselves in the first week because the win ratios suddenly went out of whack and the very next week things normalized.

but I guess logic has no place in the land of conformation bias.

Yes this is true. But considering that USF is the most micro-intensive faction, I can only imagine it getting even lower the lower down the rung you go. USF has a repetation as the hardest faction to play.

Stuart
Bazookas/ BARS
Two Assault Engis FLames and BAR
into m10/ Dozers

Works fine so far...

Here's the sitution:

Mg42 = OVER BUFFED

sniper = BUFFED
he is OP only in top 200 as i can see , because low level players cant micro him well so he die. Problem of this unit is it cant be balanced for all player level skils, because it always be OP for top players or UP for casual players , but i agree they overbuffed him agains usf (agains soviets he is rather fine)

222 = BUFFED FOR NO REASON
There was reason . No counter for Quad rush except pak , and pak cant be ewerywhere at once + it can be flanked + teller is bugged for no reason so you can forgo it now.
Here is problem about OP quad , so devs make scout cars buffed not quad neverfed , now it is ok ostheer vs soviets but scew usf


Ost stating mp = BUFFED
for no reason

okw t4 = BUFFED
it was buffed for some reason

sturms = BUFFED
we all know these units are bleeding hole after early mid game

ez8 = NURFED
call in meta is cancer

aa ht = NURFED
when ? Year ago ?

elite rifles = NURFED
theyre still fine where they are + dont forgo they got buffed last patch with flamer buff so they dont die on first sneeze

m8 = NURFED
grey hound was before pay to wipe machine , now its nice light vehicle with performance of stuart (main gun)

major = NURFED

scott = NURFED
scott is still wiping machine

volley fired = (valid) NURFED

pak howie = NURFED
(pack howies was buffed and its now fine - supress + it get cost desrease)

What usf needs

50.cal, 57mm and mortar NEED TO BE IN T1

50cal cost to 240mp - cal is too good to be in tier 1 - poor okw - it will be maxim spam , except better and with best early game infantry not weak cons

60mm mortar 240mp +1

57mm unlocked after LT or Capt is researched

BAM! USF FIXED

Edit: revert the 222 changes, m20 is obsolete. Oh and lets not forget rifles NEED to SCALE BETTER!!! +1





Problems of USA are mainly about riflemen (no big options in opening)
Locked support weapons in tiers as you pointed :)
No real counters becuase lacking normal units (mortar , flamer , sniper , at gun that is good , mines , etcd , etc)
They are just poor faction that was op before because ostheer was utter trash , now when ostheer is balanced with russians , USF suck

I'd just like to say I can't agree with the statement that USF is the worst fraction in coh history. In my opinion, it is actually the best. I'm wrtiting from 1v1 perspective. It is most flexible, most forgiving, and simply the best. I don't find the last patch changes bad. On the contrary, I feel relic did a god job moving the game in the right direction. Some of the ways in which USF could win were absolutely ridiculous and required almost no skll at all. Still I believe USF is a bit OP. The difference is that now you basically can't afford to lose that many units and win. One also has to think about resources before using abilities such as, for example, throwing a nade (do I want to throw a few nades or maybe save for a call in arty or p47, or maybe I'll plant some mines, or buy some bazooka or mg upgrades?) etc - something other fractions always had to do. I believe that still some usf abilities are too cheap. I'd advise everybody to play more patiently and look for ways to counter your opponents once you come across better players rather than complain about imbalance. Try other fractions for a change and see how difficult it is to counter a skilled USF player. Also experiment with other stratgies - try to look for cover more - something other fractions had to do to confront USF. Many USF players were used to beating opponents who were better skilled than them just because they threw rifles in the face of mgs and lost less manpower tha eg ostheer and despite wasting a lot o munitions on missed barrages and nades. Now it is a bit different but not too much.

So, the fact I've been unable to win or have as good an attempt at winning this past week isn't JUST down to me then?

I thought the early game advantage was lost but I assumed I was doing something painfully wrong, even after this thread I still can't work out what it is... Ha.

1. USF should have access to their support weapons (HMG, ATG) in their HQ (unlock after getting first officer).

2. USF need something to deal with HMGs except muni draining smoke nades. A cheap (180 - 200 MP) T0 mortar with weak HE shells but fast RoF and good range would help a lot.

They just need to implement the changes they had in alpha for the USF and it should be better, assuming they are waiting for September 3rd with the Brits.

Relic literally wrote in the patch notes themselves that the point of changing T34/85's to zero CP's and putting them in a tier building was to make them come earlier but at a price.


But have you seen this happen? Two T34/85s before 10cps?

-Adding M18 Hellcat provides a fast,agile and relatively decent tank destroyer.
-M24 Chaffee would be like Sherman-lite but with paper armor,cheaper cost and superior speed.
-Sherman Jumbo would essentially provide an actual tank that can "ACTUALLY TANK HITS".
-Calliope provides a Katyusha/PanzerWerfer type unit with a tank's armor.
-Motorcycle or another light vehicle for reconnaissance...once again with emphasis on mobility.
-add 6th model to Riflemen squad or at least add an extra man at vet 3 or something...
-Give USF a mortar (unless the mini-howitzer is actually decent nowadays).

What Could Go Wrong?
