Fix it Relic, I live in fear.
Had one today which was the loudest noise I have ever experienced.
It left me with deafened perception (for around an hour) and a headache it was so bad.
Really, it was insane how loud it was. Absolutely insane...

Relic has confirmed that it is related to high sound settings. Because you hadn't had it, doesn't mean it isn't related to sound settings.

Relic has confirmed that it is related to high sound settings. Because you hadn't had it, doesn't mean it isn't related to sound settings.
have they said anything about hardware? most people have realtek, i do not.

This could be somehow related indeed, I remember Battlefield 3 crashing the entire pc because of realtek sound card
I myself bought 14 OKW factions during a Steam sale last year for alt accounts

I don't remember, but I do know that non-realtek users have reported the bug, so it's likely not linked.
