I have just started 2v2 randoms in vCOH and I am trying hard to not be the mate that sucks. But I can already see that sometimes I have to help the other guy. At my level, if I have to do that, it is probably hopeless, but such is the lot we choose.

It can't be coincidence that one player is top 10 in 2vs2's in 3 factions and with Soviets (after losing obviously) top 50.
It's not always idiots in random 2vs2's. Sometimes it's you also.

It WAS possible to get a high rank in 2v2 random but not anymore.
Somebody has to be #1, it's not like anyone will go "no that game mode is too hard so the best player is actually ranked #1000

If you are playing RT, you don't really have any right to complain about team mates as you are willingly choosing to play with RANDOMS.
Want good team mates? Play AT.
RT is fun/strat test mode and you shouldn't really expect being competitive there.
I play competitive 4v4 random or pure AT that I care about ranking; I don't really have a middle-ground anymore
I also don't complain about teammates

Not sure what word " competitive" means if it means "skill competition"
there is no such thing as competitive 4v4. Its no skill mode
Those who I defeat 1v1 without any probem they playing ok in 4v4. And I never saw in 4v4 those who defeated me 1v1.

Most people plays 234s because they are god awful 1v1.
I play 2v2 to kind of relax from 1v1 games. And maybe see some new ways and tricks in game

At leat this teammate knew that he should play on his side.
Small hint: there's no such thing as "his side" in team games.
You want to become a high level random 2v2 player, then you need to be able to carry, and especially being able to adjust to different kinds of random mates.
Just doing your thing won't get you very far in any team game.

Jeez, it seems that you're the one who gathers all the bad players for all of us. You're like CoH2 random savior!
I don't know what to tell you man, I have e.g. in all 2vs2 ladders higher than 50% win ratio. I know my ranks aren't top level but I can't blame that for my mates. Mostly it's because I'm not practicing enough.
This is just silly thread. As said million times in this thread already, it's randoms. Go play 1vs1 or find a mate to play AT 2vs2's.

Yeah i have said i m playing 1v1 95%. Where can I find player for 5% of non 1v1s. Like 5 invites I had were to play more 1v1 with them. One said no to 234s previously.

Today I have +6 lucky streak in 1v1. Lucky cuz 4 blobbers and 1 BM offracer.
And I enjoyed winning difficult last 6th game.
Unfortunately replay file is broken.
I had single sniper and he died with vet 3. He had 38 kills 2 mins before he passed away.
I read Paul saying that he likes to get 2 snipers. Now after playing double sniper a lot I think its a serious mistake.
Double sniper can be hard countered and single sniper cant be. AS OH best way is to go ostwind cuz lighter vehicles countered by cons. While if I have only one sniper I can get T34 fast enough. In this my game it was like 10 sec difference between ostwind and T34. And he smartly didnt wasted money on 221 or smth like that (after seenig my TH commander)

Like in every other game, 90% of CoH2 players are noobs, nothing new here.
Today I saw a new OP 2v2 opening build.
1. Get 2 ZIS as first 2 units
2. sit in the base with all units for like first 5 minutes
90% of 1v1 players are OK in every 1v1 game not just COH2. 234s players they play team modes only cuz they suck in this game.

Yes, the high ranked players deserve their spot because they consistently win games with a weaker player on their side. Any fool can win a game with a 10/10 teammate.
