Edit- And verified by Spam-Reek as well. Now you just have to wait a couple hundred hours for four duplicates of CAS to drop all in a row :p

Already got 3 lightning war and 3 fortified armor and am pissed.Still no spearhead,no elite troops,no mechanized assault.
Got 1 storm doctrine,rifle company and NKVD..basically all of them save lightning war useless for primarily ost player.Rifle co was fun though when i played usf occasionally.

After reading all these posts i came to the conclusion that im suffering from a serious psychosis...
i have severe delusion (despite all evidence of the contrary) about ost still being a great faction...

Simply put 4 man ostheer squads wipe too quickly.
Earlygame grens are in trouble vs rifles and conspam.
Midgame they are good with lmgs.
Lategame again trouble vs enemy elite infantry and high DPS super fast squadwipes.You have no elite infantry to counter lategame.

while this is true, its not as bad as some people make it out to be. that of course is my opinion

Ostheer is the faction that is least impacted by its commander choice, this is true.

This puts the Ostheer in both a comfortable and precarious position. Comfortable in that they have access to more options than anyone else. Precarious because the access is to options, not results.

Ostheer can certainly do more with just stock units, but they can still only pick one course of action per match. The chance to make the decision that costs or wins you the game is more readily available.

And like all factions, the effective courses of action are very few in number.

Most of thes options are redundant shitty units that are overnerfed or inaccesible.

They should maybe add the possibility again to equip grens with LMG and G43, so some infantry commanders would be a bit more viable.

Good point Sigah..

Personally my favourite infantry commander is Jeager Infantry. Camo, G43s, and some Artillery. Personally, I'd like to swap one of the artillerys for tank smoke, but other than that I really like the commander, it gives a nice buff to the infantry. The camo first strike bonus almost always gives them a good edge or levels the field at the very least.

While it's unfair that OH can't get double upgrades, i think USF/OKW should get tone down a bit instead of bumping up the DPS.

AND it wouldn't make much since now G43 are close/mid weapons.
