In my book, less than 100 games (IN ONE FUCKING YEAR) doesn't count actually playing it.

Did he play even 10 games? I doubt it.

Alpha doesn't count because things are all different, the end of alpha and June are all Euro Truck Simulator crap.

In my oppinion, the only big issue for russians are the double sniper team in 2v2 games, specially when RUS/USA play.

Maxim/zis spam is extremely vulnerable to artillery. L2adapt. Hit the field guns with artillery and roll in with your tanks to finish them of and force off the maxims.


First off, did I say I had problems with spam tactics?? L2read soviet fan boy

Second, are you playing in a CoH2 you created, where werfer and artillery were not yet nerfed??

I don't know how hard you know how to math, but 270 is a larger number than 100.

Ranked and AT are counted separately, you know? You do know that, right?

Soviets are probably the hardest faction to play, with Wehrmacht being the easiest.

They're very focused on cheese but they've always been much more difficult to get working.

Let´s see. It seems you play OH/SU.

You are asking for a redesign of the faction, where the conscript,or other core infantry unit, takes a more relevant role which can scale late game.
The faction is designed to work on the way it now.

Several of your comments can be stated as L2P or whine post. Several users have already answer this.


So conscript spam (5 + molotovs + maybe PPSH) and maxim spam (3+ and zis guns) is your issue? You stated it´s not OP just "boring".
If it´s boring to use why not go for:
-3 cons T2 support weapons "combined arms"
-T1 opening with variations. Sniper, M3, penal or mix of it.
-T1 + T2 into call ins.
-T1 T3 rush back tech T2 in case you need it (wouldnt do this on 2v2)
-Shocks commanders.
-Partisans, if you have them. Not even closely reliable, though.
-^Same history with irregulars.

If you are facing it what is stopping you from:
-Using something besides gren spam with LMG/G43
-Combined arms of mortar + MG + sniper
-Quick T2 and use PG/222. You can be brave and go for a FHT.
-MHT
-Play with paks and go first for a werfer (don´t use it at max range)
-Your T3 is there to stall their T3. Unless you pull out a quick Ostwind.

A hefty pack up time is a terrible idea for the maxim. It's gunner is easily killed by long range german units (ever more so with OKW) and you will just end up with a dead maxim even when retreating at 6 men with full health. Not to mention trying to retreat after getting hit by a long range rifle nade. Other HMGs don't have this issue thanks to them being shoulder-carried.

A better solution would be a wider arc + increased set up time. This makes the unit less A-moveable without increasing the occurrence of the gunner killed loop.
