I think the siege mode should just be replaced with a barrage (like a shorter version of the scotts perhaps?)
As at the moment siege mode is more risk than reward.
otherwise, it's a nice, solid tank.
I do think that Soviet Industry (the other commander with this tank) should have the KV8 replaced with the T34/85 though as a side note.
I agree, Siege mode either needs some love or to get replaced with something else.

Siege mode is a bloody extra. It doesn't HAVE to be used. It's a niche ability but the tank is (finally) completely usable without it. Siege is an extra it can do. Not it's primary setting anymore. Use it when you can if it suits the problem you are facing.

Use attack ground a lot. You don't need to do it but it certainly helps once you get pretty familiar with the gun

Seige ability is very situation specific, the only time I have used it when playing against Elephant and Tiger B at middle VP. I will put the KV behind a tree or building and attack ground all over the place. Works like charm.
