Looking at the statistics, the casaulty ratio for millitary deaths on the eastern front was almost 1:1 with a slight advantage for the axis. Thread: Propaganda strike & Pak 43.13 Mar 2015, 17:16 PM I think the propoganda strike should make the soldiers self destruct the pak-43 OpieOP Ostruppen when hit by propoganda airstrike should instantly retreat into soviet base and then proceed to get mowed down. It would be actually interesting if certain units had a weakness to propoganda artillery, for example ostruppen. In: COH2 Gameplay

Thread: What to do vs heavy infantry spam13 Mar 2015, 15:42 PM Generally, what LeYawn said is pretty solid, however, do not go maximspam vs anything ever as you will get absolutely destroyed by anyone with a clue. 1-2 maxims are okay. you can do a couple of things. 4 cons > T2 > maxim > maxim > shocks 6 cons (my favourite OpieOP) 3 cons, M3, cons, gaurds or something Penal battalions while underused, are probaly the best scaling soviet infantry right now, since their flamethrowers ignore OKW matrix bullet dodging skills once they get their vet. Of course, double snipers into gaurds into t-34/85s still hangs about there, but its very risky because of the luchs. In the mid-late game, as you lose conscripts, you will want to replace them with engineers, and spam them. Flamethrower engineers are once again good since they ignore OKW matrix skills. Never underestimate the power of a quick T3 vs OKW. Infact, a quick t-34/76 or t-70 is incredibly good vs OKW, because you will need something to counter the luchs. In: Red Army Strategies

I mean why do we need to have a spammable, core infantry unit like conscripts, have a total RNG grenade? Sometimes the molotovs does amazing and triple flame crits squads, eveporates MGs and is amazing. Sometimes units sit in the flames for 5+ seconds and take no damage. They just need to deal fast, and more consistent damage. In: COH2 Gameplay

Yet their nondoctrinal one is a field gun. They could do the same thing for the Japanese as well. Japan had quite a few seldom used things that would help make them balanced. The M-42 wasn't really "crummy". It had 51mm meters of penetration at 1000m, enough for a PIV. For example zis-3 had 67mm at 1000m. And zis-3 was definately more common than the m-42 in 1943-1945. So grens would preform exactly as they did before, but would be less vulnerable to nades and indirect fire. Sigh. Let me explain this to you. 4X80 = 320 - that's what one grenadier squad health 6X80 = 480 - that's the health of one conscript squad. Cons having more health means MORE dps is needed to kill them at the same rate as a 4 man squad. This isin't exactly true since grens have the survivability of 4.4 models againts small arms, while cons have a 5.5 survivability. If their DPS would be equal, cons would win every time. As it stands now, grens need to do 50% more DPS just to match cons.
