I agree 95% with with AngryJoe had to say about DLC.
If players want custom decals, custom skins, etc, that's perfectly fine and dandy. What I don't like is the expensive commanders - and they vary in price. Some are only $2.00, while others are $4.00 - or, it used to be that way at least.
I liked the old system of leveling up to acquire some things (a couple commanders, some skins, achievements for bulletins).
I think if they mixed that old system with a not shitty war spoils and re-worked commander DLC, coh2 would be in a lot healthier spot for the casual player, and in the competitive scene.
In the former scenario, the average joe only has to pay money once and he gets a bunch of shit and is like, "oh, this is like call of duty. I just play more and unlock stuff". In the latter scenario, it may be possible to allow a short series of a dozen or so bulletins in a high-profile tournament as opposed to no bulletins.
Are there going to be any additional rules in OCF regarding the bugs? The only fair option seems to ban partisans and ban British because, partisans is an easy fix, seeing as it's just one commander, but the British should be banned as a whole because, even without deliberately abusing the HMG bug, it will still be present and it'll be tough playing a faction w/out an HMG.
I always monitor stuff. Sometimes I even move units out of green cover into light cover into anticipation of a nade if I have several engagements going on more than 1 screen length away.
I think that Blitzkrieg Doctrine is incredibly powerful late game for 1v1 as Ostheer.
Panzer Tactician, command P4, Stuka CAS; perfect.
the Command P4 really helps armor survive (two panthers can comfortably take on an IS2, even with ZiS support).
I think that, if Relic wanted to maintain the command P4's role as a defensive unit, the aura buff could apply only when in friendly territory (or neutral territory, too).
Perhaps giving the buff a smaller damage decrease while giving units a slightly lower received accuracy, the unit could balance itself out? I think that would be more interesting than what effectively amounts to a health buff.
If the USF base wasn't as large as the fucking AoE for the Scavenger Doctrine arty from OKW, there wouldn't have been an issue about the arty wiping USF base @700 muni.
