If the Kubel cap rate wasn't faster than the standard speed this would be much harder to pull off.
Doesn't make sense to me why the Kubel gets both better mobility and better capping speed than an infantry squad. Seems to me it should get a slightly slower cap rate to compensate for the mobility.
1) G43 Grenadiers. They do well against penals due to more mid dps. They're like a poor man's Panzergrenadier
2) Sniper. Big micro investment, but a sniper after 3 grens and MG can work very well. Have the other Ostheer get the halftrack and maybe a PGren if they went light on T1
3) Early munition/fuel cache. Fuel cache if you're down on territory, munition cache to get upgrades faster/save for late game abilities. I'd recommend this while waiting for fuel for T3. Stuka CAS is great against tank pushes or supporting your own attacks
RNG is a way of creating risk when it comes to unit combat.
The best players understand how to manipulate risk to their favor.
The bad players complain about RNG and ask for no RNG (why would you want this?????)
There was an interview with the guys behind the game. Long story short, they praised coh series and wanted to implement a lot of the game play ideas to Iron-Harvest.
Do you has link?
I did the survey too and recommended .org and cover and a few twitch channels
I remember seeing the screenshots of the game a few months ago and thinking, "is this Relic?" because the scale looks real similar so I thought it was the same engine
I've been getting mixed results going LT and Captain. Recently, I've actually only been up against OKW. I find Lieutenant + AA HT works very well, especially if there's a Battlegroup (Med) HQ. Even if there's a Mechanized HQ, if the resources allow, weapon racks can be purchased while the AAHT is producing, and I find that I'll usually have at least 100 mu by the time the racks unlock.
Captain is good for the mid-late game. A lot of times I'll get a Pack Howitzer to counter MG34s.
Typically, I'll go LT, M15, Racks, Ambulance, Captain... I don't usually try to rush a Sherman, but if I get the M15 I never get a Stuart. The fuel cost of both techs and both light vehicles isn't justified in an equal, competitive game.
I've closed out a few games with a .50 cal and AAHT, especially against an aggressive med HQ.
Sometimes grouping all your units together is a good tactic, sometimes it isn't. I've never understood insulting people for choosing a particular tactic (jk, I understand, losing feels bad).
If I have vision of enemy squads on the other side of the map, and I could potentially group all my infantry to win a fight elsewhere, is that insidious blobbing or good strategy?
I went captain to be safe (for AT), but lost the .50 cal for suppression. This was, in hindsight, one of the games where it would've been good to go LT MG AAHT
Then I was forced to get flamers to keep the OKW out of buildings (mortar really isn't a good investment, especially knowing there was an leig on the field. So I chose Rifle co. for quick access to flamers on my REs, but now I realize that I should've went w/ Armor Company so I could've called in the M10s (because I had barely enough fuel just to get the major)
So then this asshole puts the Schwerer on my fuel/vp so, I went and took the other half of the map...
But uh this guy was ranked 287 and I was 200 according to CELO, so I just don't know what I did wrong. Like, losing my flamer squad was bad, and I find that I often forget how much dps 4 squads has when its fighting only one squad. I'm not used to playing 4v4s. I did sort of forget about two rifles up top... and
Question is, how do I beat the blob? I played a game earlier on Angoville against a blob where I also needed flamers to clear out the houses, but I built an AAHT... but it got killed by the Luchs. I'm just pissed at this.
So maybe I haven't played enough 1v1s recently but I've just encountered this strat where the OKW just blobs hard in the early game.
I vaguely remember this happening before but I've been infrequently playing 1v1s.
It was nice that I was able to go around and cap the other half of the map. And my opponent was bad because of the way I trashed his P4.
But before that he put his schwerer on my fuel/cutoff and I lost two rifles + flamer RE in an engagement up top cuz I was stupid, which was when I surrendered.
But I remember now why I hate OKW. Because they can build a big truck and lock down half the map.
