I see, I see, something derped and for whatever reason I was thinking of grens reading that last post. Anyway, that still isn't a good idea as you have a direct overlap with already existing infantries. When trying to come up with new unit, especially doctrinal one, try to think what role isn't covered yet as better version of what already exists isn't really interesting at all. Lack of abilities is always a missed opportunity as even squad as bland as shocks have defining abilities in form of 2 nade types. Now, I'm not saying its my suggestion, but an example could be 4 man squad with 4 PF G43s(upgrade) and smoke nade, role: primarily team weapon assault unit. That would provide ost flavored riflemen-esque squad with unique ability in ost rooster. In: COH2 Balance

They couldn't fix that, because it wasn't broken. Team weapons decrew when they have less entities then minimum amount to operate the weapon. For all ATGs and mortars its 2 men, but 120mm needs only 1, like HMGs. PACK howi needs 3, so when 2 are left, it'll be decrewed and you can't do anything about it either as that's how the weapon works mechanically. In: COH2 Balance

A slight buff might be OK but its DPS was simply too high. The maxim I would test having its vet 1 ability scale with veterancy gaining lower reload with each vet level. And incendiary rounds HMG42 got 80+ dps. Close range DPS of HMG is as irrelevant as it could possibly be, because that's not the place you'll have your infantry shot at 99% of the time and if it is, you might stop walking up into the arc of deployed HMG at point blank range. Plus, DSHK had literally all of its stats nerfed hard, not just DPS, making it most expensive and most cost inefficient HMG in game. I'd argue if maxim or dshk is most useless one for the cost as both do not perform at all. However, before buffing maxim, I'd first beat some sense into relic and made conscripts actually scale, without that it will ALWAYS be penals or maxim spam into elite infantry instead of cons being supported by a pair of maxims or penals.
