If they had the Guard AT rifles then I could see it be pretty strong.
Well, there are BOYS AT sections, which also have AT nade and good PTRS and they aren't really a problem.
Given... they aren't 0CP either.
Maybe it's 'cause the Axis players aren't a bunch of forum crybabies, and they keep their cool and fight the uphill battle, unlike some of their "allied" counterparts.

Or you know... they could have IS BOYS/guard rifle AT rifles, which aren't useless vs infantry. Penals are not allowed them, because they would be a complete no brainer unit for soviets, especially considering the fact that maxim and cons are fighting in a pit to see who can suck donkeys balls more(cons at least have some redeeming qualities in doctrines). What if after building T4 cons are trained with vet3 included? Like a "trained troops" mechanic. Stock feature, no doctrine involved. Maybe a little side tech to fit the allied theme. The problem is specifically late game vet3 cons being redundant and of not much use. There was a failed attempt to fix it by increasing their scaling. In: COH2 Balance |

After some testing, the Assault Grenadiers still aren't good enough. They take too much damage on the way, and then deliver too little damage to make up for it. So... nerf them by removing 6th man upgrade and sprint? They have pretty much the same scaling and exact same target size, but they can get MORE dps and HIGHER durability thanks to upgrade, they also have EASIER time closing in because of sprint. Give ost already a positive unique factionbonus like all other faction has...it has no bonus...except you think 4model sqauds are a bonus instead a disadvantage.. The only issue I have with the "Elefant" is that the Ele was nerfed in its performance while the ISU-152 is allowed to wreak havoc against infantry and vehicles alike. 1) As already said, AI is valued lower then AT capabilities(compare cost of 640hp medium AI specialists to medium AT specialists, you'll see a pattern there) 2) ISU has 100 less armor, which is considerable. 3) AP shells have little over HALF the penetration of elephant. 4) Ele deals more damage then ISU. Let me remind you that Ele was nerfed for something that was always beyond ISU capabilities, 2 shotting meds. Ele also roflstomps ISU and ISU have pretty decent chance to bounce against axis late game heavy armor. Ele is well worth its cost for its stats and performance, even compared to ISU.
