I'm quite positive USF was redesigned because it had very unflexible tech structure that didn't offered much of a freedom, forced the exact same opening every single time, which in return led to USF being forced into more infantry units then they actually needed, not because volks and penals.
Due to in-house data, tournament data, and player sentiment, it has become clear that USF is in need of a little bit of help within its tech structure.
The current USF tech choices of Lieutenant or Captain, and the units within these tiers is seen as an overly punishing and restrictive choice.

try to take out allies TDs with puppchens MG-Range means mostly you will lose it...oh get pak43...which means im bound at one commander. so i need a special commander to get a pak43 which will be counterd easily by default options from allies to counter non-doc units? nice one.

And yes, if you have bad skill, you use commander that has easier to use unit that helps you against what you are incapable of countering in normal way - that's what commanders are for. |
I’d say they could receive progressive bonuses linked to each tier built.
For example:
T1: increases vision by 10%
T2: resist supression by 5 or 10%
T3: cost for urrah cut by 50%, grenades by 20%
T4: reinforce cost reduced by 10%
This way u have an additional reason to build tiers and they can stay relevant throughout the game
While general idea might be in a good direction and intent, these examples address absolutely nothing in regards to their impotence in late game and does not make them a bit appealing in the slightest. |
The SVT is equal to BAR long range although it cost less has no tech cost, does not drop and can be used by any squad.
Name ONE -RELEVANT- to the current meta allied infantry, for which SVT is an upgrade over what they have as stock or can get as stock upgrade except cons and CEs. |

Its closer to 2 DPS at long range for all 3, but yes, close range DPS increase is 4,5.
Also, I highly advise you to edit "damage" for "DPS" before someone focused entirely on semantics will get on your ass. |

The unit itself might not have smoke but that does not mean that they do not have access to smoke.
Both commander with rangers have doctrinal smoke for them and one even allow them to sprint.
In addition R.E. and officers can provide smoke among other things.
That's completely irrelevant for units balance and just a theory without precedent.
Tiger is in 7 doctrines, at least 2 of them have panzer tactician, tiger isn't weaker in the doctrines that do have it nor stronger in the doctrines that don't have it.
Other doctrinal abilities are completely irrelevant for the balance of single unit. |
