If you do it right, you force the OKW player to invest in light vehicles, thus delaying his tech. I don't believe that will ever be the case and it was already proven by all the "wait for call-ins" strats in the past. Croc is pretty much the only vehicle that forces tech above ATGs. On top of that, with new resources and timings, there isn't much reason not to invest in light vehicles as OKW, even panther can contest sherman or T34 and while tech is still important for OKW, its no longer a matter of win or loss. Due to its longer range People are greatly overestimating effects of range differnce. Yes, pwerfer needs to be closer, but it also stays there only 25% of time katy needs for its barrage and pwerfer is more mobile. Moreover, recent pwerfer buffs means you can stay at any range, target of the barrage will be annihilates with alpha strike, something that is pure RNG with a tiny chance for katy. In: COH2 Balance

And with it its absolutely overpowered. But that is the effect of relic megalomania with introducing only bigger and bigger tanks when there is a whole plethora of medium and light armor to choose from. Countering is pretty much denying opponents ability to effectively use the unit, if it can kill it, its even better. HMGs don't really kill infantry left and right and yet counter it for example. Tough luck and eat rocket to the face which was shot from outside of LOS and behind of shot blocker. @Smaug I doubt he asked on how to destroy it, because single T34 can do it, avoiding ninja rocket to the face/squad/tank is where countering the unit is, its extremely easy vs AVRE because of its low range, but nearly impossible for ST due to its range. Mechanized formations, which clearly is supported by ost T2 were 8 men strong. It was decreased from standard 10 man formations for the really simply reason of transports not having more space in them. Non motorized infantry hordes were 10 man squads, which makes it historically accurate for units like volks(no transport in the army) as well as grens and pgrens in the context of ost T2(251 and we could argue 250). Go play other game if you want more historical accuracy. Historical arguments shouldn't apply if they are breaking balance. Bit better accuracy on the move for allied armor with inferior stats, especially defensive ones and often lower penetration as well doesn't break the balance in any way, what it does on the other hand is applying historical flavor within the balance. For the same reason P4 have better armor then T34/76. You're so lost in the dark that you've confused me with realism seeking, mad zealots. Now, surprise for you: con and gren squads are somewhat historically accurate as well, just historically these were 12 and 8 man squads, so you have lowere scale, but historical proportion of units. Will you jump on relic how they made this historically accurate as well? In: COH2 Balance
