They used to blow things up but the Pioneers union has forbade it....
The PTRS's are fine as they are. Whenever i'm up against Guard Infantry, I always have to be careful with my vehicles or the Guards will completely destroy them. Good range, good damage and fairly cheap; if anything, the PTRS should nerfed since it's ridiculously good for the price. Even in the hands of Conscripts, the PTRS's are extremely potent.

Anyone want to play a 1v1 and try their darndest to blob against me and see how it works out for them? I dont think anyone said its particularly effective. Just boring and sometimes rewarding if you didnt blob back at that spot. If I wanted to play a Zombie Survival game with hordes of undead running at me I have other games for that. The human wave tactic is just boring to beat. I would like to just be able to END that play hard. As it stands you CAN end it hard if you get lucky but most times you gotta retreat then blob back and punish the skilless players lack of micro etc etc etc. Very very boring gameplay. Feels like playing the same game over and over again because those players make it to the mid tier and you need to beat them back down into their rightful elo spot quite often. More infantry lethality. Problem solved. You running at me in cover? Ok you just took twice the casualties I did before I retreated. Tanks arent such a problem because of Maps infantry however is. Also more effective mines. I think there are ways to make blobbing punished. Katushya, Arty, Werfer, Stuka having increased accuracy against blobs would be another way. In: COH2 Balance |

Blobbing is actively being encouraged by Relic. In order to reduce the amounts of blobs there needs to be checks in place. Units such as stuka half tracks, god-cannon tiger; abilities such as off map artillery; and to a lesser extent suppression are examples of checks. Over the past patches these checks are becoming less effective for blob control. KV8, German rocket half track, Katyusha have been adjusted and no longer effectively counter the blobs. Yep and therin lies the rub. USF has to own early game through mainly blobbing because they cant match the firepower of OKW infantry. So what is USF supposed to do? They outnumber and blob. What are you gonna try Green cover riflemen vs Obersoldaten with STGs? Yeah that wont end well for you... Now if they implement good blob counters this screws them most of all and their armor certainly wont save them... So we have the current dynamic. USF blobs because sadly that is their real strength vs OKW not so much Ost because LMG and BAR dynamic is pretty good. In: COH2 Balance |

On the contrary, you're getting blobbing mixed up with spamming. Spamming is when you make a lot of the same unit regardless of how you use it. Blobbing is when you put a bunch of units into one big mob and move them all around at once with no attention to cover or tactics. Often times they overlap, such as a blob made up of 5 Riflesquads, but not always. This. I have started calling this Company of Blobs its gotten so bad. Its quite boring when there is just blob after blob game after game and you use the same weak blob counters to deal with them just dragging out the game with dull game play. In: COH2 Balance |

Shock Rifle Front lines in the lineup. Shock Troops spotted...lots of Infantry on the field...hmmmm I wonder if a KV8 is a possibility? Perhaps I should build my new and improved P4? I saw a Slow M3 without flamer. Your opponent was also total Nub mode. He tries to run at your Dodge with Volks. Doesnt recapture his MG that died due to no support. Then instead at the end of making a Pupp facing one way and MG the other to prevent Circle straffing he just kept putting the Pupp where your Dodge WAS and not where it was GOING to be. It may be abusive but thats not what I saw. I saw a bad OKW player that also didnt know how to deal with it. In: Replays |
