For what it's worth, if anyone is genuinely offended then I'm sorry, but it was never our intent to do so. As someone else has said, it's too retarded to be funny, and so I'd say the same about it being offensive. That said, I'm not sure why anyone would actually find the video offensive, as opposed to simply unfunny or stupid (both of which are understandable reactions).

For those who are feigning offence simply because they think it may offend someone, somewhere, then I suggest you stop worrying about hypothetical outcomes. If it offends you, you have a right to say as much and to then never watch it again. It does not mean, however, that others do not equally have the right to enjoy it for what it is: a childish piece of satire.

FYI, and as some here have already suggested, it was a deliberately poor quality (in terms of scripting, video and sound) attempt to present the idea of an Arab doing a Dane-esque CoH2 cast. Just to clarify, no Muslims, Jews, Christians or atheists were harmed during the making of this video.

I find it wierd that this James Hale guy who is a merciless moderator who locks every thread unless its a "praise relic" thread on the official forums now comes here and mock muslims. Also we dont need any jewish propaganda picures.

I hope not. That was certainly not the intent.

I think it's more a 'this looks vaguely offensive on the surface, so it must be, so I'll act offended without watching' thread, but I've been wrong before.

It's supposed to be a bit of fun to watch over the Holidays. I am told a lot of effort went into making it.

Dear CoH Fans and infidels,

As a Christmas present to us in the decadent West, our Arab friends over at the المناورات يلقي الحلقة رقم (translated roughly as The Wargame Cast) YouTube channel have offered us their own take on a CoH2 cast; offering feedback, analysis and general good humour over a 1v1 replay using my very own Mod 227.

Though they are not new to casting in general (some of you may remember their much-criticized Let's Play using their own 'Occupied Gaza' mod for Prison Architect, both of which have since been removed) they are new to the CoH franchise, and this is their first cast so far. I do not know the name of the caster, but he does provide an e-mail address on their YouTube channel if anyone should wish to contact him for general advice, or to submit replays for casting.

The combatants are myself and nachocheese, though I apologise for the video quality. The original uncompressed file was 100 GB (!) but they managed to get it down to about 700 MB in the end. We were simply chosen by lottery to play a small game to test their primitive, sand-clogged software, but I am sure the likes of CieZ, Siberian and Nullist can appear in future casts so as to draw in a larger, more knowledgeable audience.

Many of you won't know of 'The General' but he has always been a nefarious presence behind the scenes. The first (non-dev) to test Relic's mod tools, he has been doing so ever since, and has helped Peter and co. in the past with various issues. He slaves night and day, trying (but failing) to match the simplistic, puerile brilliance of Mod 227 whilst drinking approximately twelve (!) litres of bottled water over any 24 hour period.

For those who do, however, I'd like to give him a shout out (alas, Relic never do xD) as despite not being one of the more vocal personalities in this community, he is nonetheless one of the most knowledgeable and hard-working.

Everyone raise a jar of salsa to the man known only as 'Dominik' (that's not his real name, it's an online pseudonym, much like Nullist, Cannonade or Quinn Duffy).
