You'll never see that in Relic. Then again, they don't have a 200k playerbase / $4billion net worth. Well, to be fair, SC2 is 'easier' to balance. SC2 has a fairly big Esport scene where there are many pro player who can give their imput on game balance. They also have no shortage of pro-vs-pro replays and data to balance their game on. To defend and prevent harassment? If it can't do that, what can it do? It can't attack you know. It is not arbitrary at all. Any flanking maneuver you do that puts you in the position where you have to retreat through an enemy strong point is a bad flanking maneuver. Not knowing the path your units will take on retreat is no excuse. Retreat paths are not random; it's simply something you need to learn and it separates the people who do good flanks from the people who do bad flanks. By bonuses I mean things like free flame nade unlock with tech. The OKW have many of these. - Bonus starting manpower - AT gun and light vehicle in T0 - Free medics, repair station, and cut-off/fuel protector as part of tech - Free flame nades as part of tech - Free Panzerschreck upgrade as part of tech - Extra vet These were fine when OKW still had a resource penalty, but now they are just too much. On top of this OKW has a very fast light tank rush with very large shock value. USF just can't deal with this. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: t34 76 now useless23 Dec 2015, 21:58 PM The whole idea some of you have about having to mass T34/76 is wrong. You do not need to mass T34/76. In fact, it often limits your ability to deal with enemy threats. The Soviet tech tree has been changed to allow for excellent, almost unparalleled vehicle combined arms and the T34/76 fits perfectly. Support the tank with a tank-destroyer (either SU76 or SU85) and the Katy and you will find they perform much better than when just getting 4 T34/76. In: COH2 Balance

Good flanking moves are rewarded. Bad flanking moves are not rewarded. Flanking moves are not automatically good just because you did not do a frontal assault. If your flank put you in a position where you had to retreat past a static AA position, it was a bad flank. In: COH2 Gameplay

Both unit are fragile and not durable as an AA emplacement... Both units are not as good as AA at killing retreating infs...(AA.E. has around 3.5 times the DPS of AAHT) Both units are also mobile while the AA emplacement can not move at all. If you get cut-down on retreat by an AA emplacement you have yourself and only yourself to blame. In: COH2 Gameplay
