Thread: WTF Bofors?11 Jan 2016, 07:53 AM Self repair is a doctrinal ability. But the trick to taking out emplacements is first forcing a brace and then hit them hard when the brace wears off. For example, you force a brace with mortar fire, then after 25 seconds you rush in with a panther and call in railway arty which will kill any emplacement 100% of the time if their brace is on cooldown. Thread: USF light vehicle abuse disheartening new/average players10 Jan 2016, 13:27 PM The stuart 1-shots a full squad once in a blue moon when the whole squad is bunched up capturing a point. You are blowing the units perfomnace way out of performance here. On average, the stuarts lethality against infantry is worse than the P2 luchs by quite a margin. The stuart is a jack of all trade units. It does not kill infantry as well as the P2 or T70 and it does not form a threat by itself against medium tanks (unlike the Puma). The only units the Stuart dominates are light vehicles and light armor. Against all other units it can only act as a supporting unit. It's fine. In: COH2 Balance

It is such a great tool against close combat troops that want to close in. Fast animation, no timer, slow effect and damage. It also makes it more likely to 'snipe' models because te first model that comes out of the smoke will get targetted by the whole ober squad. It is also great for forcing units out of structures the same way molotovs do. Then there are also boobytraps which are amazing. They have a high likelyhood of wiping 4-man squads, are only 50 ammo, work on whatever angle the enemy enters the circle and auto-detonates. People just don't use these abilities and then they wine about Obers not being good enough. In: COH2 Balance

The games I have played of Osttruppen vs Soviet T2 have been some of the most imbalanced matches I have had in this game. Every game I have played against people foolish enough to open with T2 against my Osttruppen was over in 10 minutes. Thread: Allied 1v1 Dominace4 Jan 2016, 09:20 AM I do not agree. OKW does not lack early game power at all. The faction starts with a solid close combat unit and 80 extra manpower. The Kubel is the best back-capping unit in the game with its fast speed, fast capping speed, and it's ability to overcome RE troops and combat engineers that are generally used for capping. The first tech structure will always offer a light vehicle or light tank and offers a ton of free stuff including anti-mg/garrison grenades and anti-vehicle weapons. You have the choice between the more defensive T1 that includes free medics or the offensive T2 that can give you a fast Luchs. Medium tanks and Elite infantry follow up relatively fast. I do not see OKW getting dominated at all this patch; quite the contrary actually, I see them forcing a very narrow meta-game from the allied factions. Ostheer I feel is in the same boat as the allies; i.e. meta or die. However, if you are getting dominated while using Ostruppen, Elite Troops, or Mechanized assault, you have only yourself to blame.
