It means you have now more reaction time to escape. Units clumping up more affects all AoE weapons, why do Rifle grenades get singled out of this? It is those weapons that you cannot dodge at all that profit most from the last patch, namely stuff like tank shells. Rifle grenades are telegraphed really poorly compared to other grenades thanks to their huge range. If a volksgrenadier squad wants to throw a grenade, they have to close in to throw it with an obvious animation, and after it lands there is a time. The enemy can suspect one is going to get thrown from the moment the volksgrenadiers break cover to close in for the throw. Now grenadiers on the other hand give the enemy little time to react. Grenadiers don't have to break cover to launch a rifle nade, the animation isn't that obvious as stationary troops kneel and go to prone from time to time by themselves, and the grenade explodes on impact. The enemy has to suspect a rifle grenade all the time and can't look away because the entire cycle of 'break cover > close in > animtion > fuse' does not apply to rifle nades. In: COH2 Balance

Thread: Yep I'm going there, Panzerwerfer17 Nov 2014, 15:37 PM Katyusha and Panzerwerfer are different units that are not used in the same way. The Katy fires more rockets but fires it in volleys. It's best used at medium-far range because the smaller the impact zone, the easier it is for the enemy to dodge the rockets after the first volley. Firing the rockets also takes quite a few seconds, making it vulnerable to counter attacks. The Panzerwerfer fires less rockets but fires them all in one go. It is best used at close-medium range because you can deliver a huge payload on a small target with no time for the enemy to react after the first rocket hits. Firing the rockets also takes only takes like 2 seconds so you can be reversing away from the frontline before the rockets even hit the ground. In: COH2 Balance

It is dumb when you look at the opening post and see that both the USF and Soviets had the same income. It's not dumb compared to the opening post itself. Which is titled "Russian Fuel Income" despite later posting the numbers that say USF and Soviet both had equal income; making "Russian Fuel Income" a bit silly. Then there is of course the topic itself, which is ridiculous because every body knows that USF/Soviets/Wehrmacht get the exact same income, and OKW gets 80% and 66% of income from ammo and fuel territories respectively. Thread: Yep I'm going there, Panzerwerfer16 Nov 2014, 21:44 PM I'm fairly certain that both units fire identical rockets. One fires 16 of them in volleys of 4, the other fires 10 in 1 volley. There was a time when the panzerwerfer rockets did more damage; back then it was 1 volley = 1 squad. The near-instant landing of all 10 rockets gave no chance to escape. In: COH2 Balance

Thread: Deflection Damage 16 Nov 2014, 14:35 PM Jump back to quoted post16 Nov 2014, 10:24 AMpigsoup the problem i see here is that the successive IS2s get almost killed and should be killed in my opinion. but they deflect like 3-4 pak/panther shots sometimes when they are in the verge of death... at least 4 times. at around 38 min mark, one time he charges in front of p4, panther, and two paks; and both is2s get away with a sliver of health bouncing several would-be killing blows. i think that is bullpudding. therefore i think there should be at least a small amount of deflection damage to get rid of situations like this where pure luck can have this big of an impact in game. thoughts? Well, you can look at it from the other way. What if the IS-2 user had bad luck and all shots penetrated? Should the damage on penetration be lowered then because the IS-2 had died super fast where normally it would have survived twice as long (taking 50% chance to pen to simplify the equation). Both your and mine example have equally big impacts on the game and both rely on RNG. In: COH2 Balance
