Thread: Minor german issues. 27 May 2014, 14:35 PM Yeah, I know. It is personal preference as I really like the Tiger now and the Germans with tiger tank or elefant doctrines are not imbalanced. The German doctrines w/o heavy armor are at a disadvantage now IMO. The Germans right now are like the Soviets before elbe day...reliant on IS-2 and T-34/85 doctrines. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Minor german issues. 27 May 2014, 13:19 PM I actually like the new stug because of its 80 fuel cost and effectiveness against infantry. I support them with paks. But the Ostwind and P4 aren't really worth it, like the Panther and Werfer. P4 is only in the same class of the T-34/76. So T4 is redundant except the Brummbar. So my whole roster is tiger tank commanders. Frankly I don't mind the current balance; I wish it was like this a year ago. Jump back to quoted post27 May 2014, 07:19 AMJaigen Tier 3 for the germans is a damn mess. it has no heavy AT as the stug's role got alterd(and it really wouldnt mind if the stug became the new su-85 with increased cost) and the p4 is pretty much subpar compared to the t34-85 or sherman. the panther got even further nerfs making it useless. The only real strategy the germans have left is either tigers , elephants , pak 43 or plain old infantry spam. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Best Tiger Tank Doctrine?26 May 2014, 19:29 PM Given the bonuses, I think a 'relative' price for the Tiger Ace vs. the Tiger is probably around 800 MP, 290 fuel. They priced the MP @ 800 already, and the 10 min mark premium is ~440 MP, 90 fuel. Still a pretty good deal for the first 7 minutes or so. In: COH2 Gameplay

It is not a frontal attack. 2 v 2, late game tiger spam knocking out many SUs, zis, and ISUs with no loss: Note that one of the players is using Elite Troops. The other one is using Assault Support. Thread: Minor german issues. 25 May 2014, 16:37 PM Like VCOH, I personally field double or triple Stug III Gs and go Tigers. A pair of stugs can knock out a Zis gun in 2-3 shots and have good AI. Tigers are OP like the ISU, and have a lot of use. I ignore T4 (Panther too expensive) and usually do not get ostwind or p4. Panzergrens are a bit too expensive. The Elbe day patch has made it necessary for the Germans to buy At guns just like the Soviets. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: ISU-152 (solution inside)25 May 2014, 16:02 PM Mostly 3 v 3, sometimes 4 v 4. I've had this game for a year and I still use the same tactic vs ISU (pre and post patch). Spearhead doctrine (my fav Ost doctrine). - As soon as the ISU appears, Recon first with Air or forces -Plan flank attack, use 1-2 tigers + 2-3 infantry units -hoard munitions enough for 1 frag bomb and smoke. Attack with infantry far forward to point blank of ISU, single mindedly chase ISU with Tiger (while ignoring everything else), use infantry against infantry/support weapons and drop frag bomb on Zis or Maxims. The Elbe day patch buffs do not really change the effectiveness of this tactic by that much IMO. In: COH2 Balance
