I love how all the new German commanders are fine and Soviet ones are OP. Lets talk about Luftwaffe support, shall we? Or Vet3 snipers shooting with high accuracy automatic carbines In: COH2 Balance |

Game is so unbalanced with this 4min t70 commander now which usually means full map control by the 5-6 minute mark.. I just dont understand how hard it can be to just make this game balanced after SO many months.. I really like how you completely bash 2 new Soviet commanders while somehow justify German ones by saying you're not sure if German doctrine is OP. On the topic however I do agree that both paid commanders are a bit silly. Could be that we just need to learn new ways to deal with them and adapt or could be they are simply ridiculously OP. I think is a bit to early to say as both commanders have downsides. Soviet one really cripple your manpower income and any loss is painful and German one cripple your teching if you go Vet crazy. With the new Soviet commander however I like how it tries to mimic the Soviet war machine and tank production. In: COH2 Balance |

Having played with new paid Soviet Commander I agree with OP. New commanders outshine old ones. In: COH2 Balance |

Only against really bad players. Any decent will go FHT and simply destroy its opponent. In: COH2 Balance |

if you look at al the thing germans have and what russians have to take them on... only the 120mm wil come out as winnerr. Not so sure. I think MHT is better than 120mm. Moves faster and can shoot on the run plus got area anti weapon team fire bombardment. I know you can retreat to safety from fire field but so many times I saw my units roasted despite pressing retreat almost instantly. In: COH2 Balance |

Aren't 120mm and Mortar Half Truck performing quite similar? Both are deadly and both have ways to destroy weapon platforms. If you wan't compare 120mm mortar to anything compare it to MHT. I think both units are fine as they are right now. In: COH2 Balance |

It's only good against support weapons and Grens with LMG upgrade. Keep your squads mobile and it should be ok. Or get yourself a mortar half truck. Quick scout car ride will do the trick as well. Also don't blob your units. I've seen this many times, especially in team games. Cluster of PG walks straight into maxim, get suppressed and then bombarded by 120mm Mortar. I love 3v3, 4v4 German players ![]() HMG are absolutely fine as they are right now. In: COH2 Balance |

I believe we will have to wait and see what changes regarding veteran system future will bring. Blitzkrieg has been discussed so many time and I don't believe there is a single decent player who believes it's balanced at current stage. November path so I've heard. In: COH2 Balance |
Thread: Is the Soviets underpowered in team games?27 Oct 2013, 00:46 AM
Well it's my opinion only but I think you gotta be more careful when playing Soviets as one mistake, especially later, when tanks roll out (hi Panthers) can cost you a game. You need decent micro as well. Before introduction of Assault Grenadiers Soviets got quite strong early game, but this has changed as well but overall balance is better than ever was.
