You don't need to build Tier 2 to get them. There are plenty of reasons to get them instead of PGs even at 1 CP if they went back to the old cost. I agree, I think CP1 AGrens would've solved the problem. Frankly right now they are pretty useless in a 1v1 setting as I have so many other munitions options that are better (good in team games where I can safely skip T2 and schreks because my teammate has it covered, but that's another story). Minus the range, the spotting scope, the mobility and versatility, that is. At 840 mp and 90 fuel. Pretty ridiculous when the Elephant is 300 fuel and God knows how much manpower. Then you can have T0 5 men squads with rifles to basically mirror match the russian early game. That would create a lot of redundancy between a regular grenadier and these guys - what would be the point. You might as well as make the regular grenadier a 280mp 5-man squad at that point and give them an option to upgrade MP40s. In: COH2 Gameplay

In case you didn't notice, we're talking about the FHQ in a team game setting where at least one other Soviet player goes 120mm mortars. Good luck with your MGs, bud. By the way, your suggestion isn't even valid for 1v1. Why wouldn't I just get a mortar instead? In: COH2 Gameplay

Considering resources are not shared between teammates, I would gladly sacrifice my teching in order to ensure that the German team doesn't ever get their cutoff while my teammate(s) tech up. Who came up with this aura buff and what were they thinking? Frankly they should just scrap the aura and take out the fuel cost. In: COH2 Gameplay

AoE is the splash damage that the tank shell does upon impact. The splash does full damage at distance near, zero damage at distance far, and porportionate scaling in between. In: COH2 Gameplay

What's the point of making 3 units that will be literally useless once early game is over because of the implied cost when they enter combat? They're CQB units, so they will end up losing squad members and that will hit your economy hard. It's not like they're as effective as Shock Troops so why would they cost the same to reinforce? I'm assuming the three AGrens won't win you the game alone (and if they do, that's not balanced whatsoever), in which case they will simply be a huge liability as the game goes on. I'd rather just get regular grenadiers and go for PGrens as a shock unit - at least they can scale into the late game as AT. In: COH2 Gameplay

We will look into the cases where this occurs for the next balance patch. Thanks for the clarification, Stefan. You can't even kill it with mortars in this case. Does the aura buff extend to allied units as well? Because that'd be FUBAR. 120mm would turn into cruise missile platforms and Guards would turn into a squad of Rambos. At least Shocks will still be relatively unbuffed as no German player would be stupid enough to charge a forward HQ (I think). In: COH2 Gameplay
