He seemed to think that we were hacking the game with an armor cheat because we had an Elephant, one Panther and two PanzerIVs altogether while he spammed 6 or 7 KV-8s straight at us into our tanks and lost them all. Needless to say, he raged. This guy is just a sad troll that really shouldn't be playing this game - because he's terribad. In: Lobby

That way if the german player doesn't sink muni into the healing bunker very early he'll be stuck with very significant manpower drain throughout the game. I'd say good changes. We can leave HMG now and move on. I agree. Just played a few games and no more solo conscripts squads going rambo into my MGs head-on and molotov trolling. Good work to Relic as well for finally getting rid of the stupid suppression bulletin, meaning now the MG can actually be balanced. In: COH2 Balance

This is simply not true. The Stug E does not function as any sort of AT whatsoever. Its lackluster penetration combined with only 80 damage and no turret means that you're not going to be killing anything armored any time soon. It probably is less effective than an upgunned scout car at killing light vehicles. Generally in those situations you speak of, the panzergrenadiers probably have it handled by themselves. For those players complaining about its effectiveness, I see why this tank would be regarded as redundant since the assault grenadiers and panzergrenadier halftrack call ins are more than enough anti-infantry for most games. However, the Stug is not vulnerable to sniper fire (or any small arms for that matter) and are effective at stopping shock troops since the shells obviously bypass 2.25 armor (for those situations where you want to rush a Panther, which are really effective against Su-85 spam). I would not recommend its use versus players who pick guards, for obvious reasons. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Assault Grenadiers costing munitions.27 Sep 2013, 06:41 AM Having assault grenadiers costing munitions delays the armored car upgun which will in turn make the assault grenadiers vulnerable to M3 flame cars. Essentially, in a 1v1 setting, you're building the unit to help counter itself. Pretty stupid if you ask me. There's really no significant benefit to building assault grenadiers if I can just build panzergrenadiers that cost no (precious) ammo and or upgrade my regular grenadiers with LMG42 for only 10 munitions more, both of which melt infantry faster. Plus, why go assault grenadiers doctrine when I can go osttruppen for early game capping dominance. It really doesn't make much sense. In: COH2 Gameplay

Essentially what that means is, one Vet2 Zis next to one HQ will two shot a Panther. That is ridiculous. I don't know what they were thinking with this Forward HQ idea but clearly there was no QA testing involved whatsoever. In: COH2 Gameplay

I wouldn't know that about him normally and it takes away some of the surprise in the game I think now that most of the bulletins have immaterial effect, bulletins can be hidden (especially since it shows so much about Soviet strategy 1v1 as they have to pick between tier buildings). Commanders, however, should not be hidden at all since some give exclusive units. If my enemy has Feshtung Armor, Assault Support, and Jaegar Armor equipped and I see him pop smoke, I want to be able to know that he is going to have access to Pak43's later in the game rather than be guessing which commander with smoke he picked.
