M36 Jackson would be awesome. Can you say 100 range turreted tank destroyer. They would probably make it flimsy, but it would definitely go well with the americans mobile army. In: Lobby

Thread: The state of CoH29 Apr 2014, 14:44 PM Am I the only one who thinks that the penals flamethrower hasn't scaled well with the increased small arms damage. They just don't seem to kill much faster then a man with a rifle does. I suppose they still ignore cover, but that doesn't really make me want to spend 60 munis on it, and I could always use satchels on the garrisons that work better. It's still pretty good on engineers though since they do crap damage without it, but it seems like even a single SVT has similiar damage to a flamethrower at mid range. Although maybe it's just in my head. Edit: To clarify, it seems to do about 1/3 damage to a model for each burst, but with the time it takes for the holder to jump into position and the time he takes to inbetween burst, not to mention they don't fire while on the move it I'm thinking it might be better to ignore the upgrade. I agree. I don't like the fact that a unit called in with a lot manpower can be 100% countered by a muni ability. Perhaps if they added a bit of scatter to it so you could atleast pray to the RNG god to save you. In: COH2 Gameplay

I made an account because i am playing coh2 alot more now with these recent patches and it is alot more like vcoh. however, i am concerned about the balance issues as soviets and ost army have only recently started to get improved... also has relic said anything about future commanders or units for these two armies? just a concerned Vcoh vet who wants COH2 to be good... i guess i should add that i played coh2 when it came out and gave up until it was patched more. i play mostly 4v4 as germans. i can see that its allot better now, but, i think the balance needs a bit more work. Well it seems like relic is now trying to help balance by adding machanics that equalize thing better(making cover important) which helps since in the old way there wasn't really a way to use a lot of advantages units had since closing in was fairly easy. We are halfway though this process as last patch was for infantry and light vehicles and this next one will be for tanks. Before they didn't do much other then mess with simple stats to buff or nerf individual units. As for future commanders, relic usually isn't in the business of announcing things more then a day before patches, but there was a leak months back of commanders that were being tested in the closed beta. Odds are we will see these released sometime before the expansion. Edit: sorry I just realized you were talking about the new armies. Relic hasn't said much yet, other then the Americans will be a mobile and versitile army and ubercommand will have big late game tank call ins (Jagdtiger and King Tiger) and a unique way of securing territory. I can kill all the German infantry with my ghost T-34 which has just been destroyed by blitzing P-IVs... Any mobility increase is useless whilst Germans have Blitz. The biggest issue with the elefant IMO is the doctrine which has the stuka bombstrike in the same breath, meaning that the one thing that has a chance to kill it (ML-20 Howitzer) can just be reconned and annihilated in one shot. But I think the point of this next patch is to make it so that artillery WONT be the only way to kill it. Up to this point flanking it with T34s was doable but also completely useless due to how long it took to kill it. It sounds like this won't be the case any longer, though you will probably still be rather screwed if you went for SU-85s. I remember a game where I actually managed to flank an elephant from both side with a two SUs. The thing had time to turn and kill both of them and still have half health left. In: COH2 Gameplay

The T34 would likely see a cost increase . It will still lose to a Panzer 4 in a head on engagement, but its AI and mobility will be significantly better making it a well rounded medium tank. pqumsieh The next update will see the Elefant become easier to counter as the Soviets will have better tools at defeating it. I'm just saying, it's far more usable than people give it credit for. Well it was free but I guess you didn't get it when it was. I use it the most out of all the Commanders(That I own). I reckon if I had Advanced Warfare or Partisan Tactics I might think differently. How do you possibly make use of it. It is 4 muni based call ins. You can't possibly use them all and it's probably better to use one that has maybe two strikes and other things you can make use of at the same time. Decription is good, but it's not good enough to warrant atleast 2 unused abilities. In: COH2 Gameplay
