Thread: Maxims against OKW.6 Jul 2014, 00:26 AM maxims are not op, the core issue here is that okw dont have a early counter like a mortar or scout car to deal with hgms. This make the maxims highly effective to lock down the map. So instead of nerfing a unit that is fine, why dont we cry for a buff for okw. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: How do i play soviets vs OKW?4 Jul 2014, 02:32 AM I found t1 and m3 super strong against okw in the early game. also been using the defencive commander as all t2 units in it and then building t1 to t3. dsk hmg and120mm mortar are very affective against okw, 120 mortar rapes all suport weapons and squads and doed good damage against the building/trucks. The suppression works like any other suppression where cover helps to reduce it. Ok, maybe volly just needs to be toned down a bit or just make it so it can not suppress at all in green cover. also you can only volly one squad at a time . In: COH2 Balance

Heavey cover- volly has very little effect medium cover volly takes a reasonable time to take effect (say 5 seconds or maybe more) Light cover- volly takes effect reasonably fast (say 3 seconds) No cover- volly takes effect extreamly fast I think something like this would work really well.this would reward good play and punish bad play as cover is one of the most important elements in coh2. I feel like sov and ost are pritty balanced at the moment, instead of nerfing these faction, shouldnt the new factions be adjusted to be balance with the original faction. Thread: Maxim spam30 Jun 2014, 00:19 AM I dont feel like this is not balance issue with max hmg its self. I find it more too do with okw and usf factions structures them selfs. With both faction not having cost effective early counters to hmg's like mortars, snipers and light vehicels. I always find my self using hmgs in building against okw as i know they find it hard to get them out in the early game and i find hmgs are a feasable stat sov Vs okw as concripts dont stand a chance against okws elite infantry .Also hmgs is good counter too the blob of doom In: COH2 Balance
