Trying to use some combined arms of units not used much in 1's and a mixture of unit abilities/doctrinal to pull off some cheeky maneuvers. Arty Officer/Sniper/Panzerwerfer/Panther feature vs Inf company with Rifles into quick t3
Lots of flanking from the USF player who uses rifles with LMG's into quick t3, some pretty razor edge engagements for both of us!
Just before WFA, in 1's, blobs weren't such an issue I thought at least, if an Ostheer player got an LMG blob, that was an issue, but soviets had strats and counters.
The new factions imo have an issue with blobbing, where it is promoted by their design, which is a real shame that I hope is addressed.
Compared to it's release, Coh2 has moved on leaps and bounds. Admittedly its beginnings were pretty "humble" (to put it politely, Coh2 on release was like a beta!).
I would not be a fan of some design decisions at the core of Coh2 or the new factions, but I love Relic RTS games for their uniqueness. If they managed to sort out the performance issues and bugs instead of new content, that would go a long way for me.
Balance is what it is, slowly improves with relic and then an expansion hits that fecks everything up, but such is life. Ostheer and Soviet match-up has its problems, but i'd say it is pretty enjoyable now after a year.
Thanks lad, can anyone confirm that once the officer buff is active then, the sniper has accuracy of 65% vs buildings and r retreating units? (and 85% ish accuracy when the Officer is vet 3).
Just wondering if the sniper and officer have much synergy at all

The arty officer, I know his ability when active increases accuracy by 15% (thanks Cruzzi!), does this modify the snipers accuracy vs Units in Buildings and retreating units?
Secondly, yous sure it does not increase the rate of fire of infantry units by anything? I know originally it did when coh2 was released, but was it modified in an an early patch?
If soviets go with Snipers, as OKW spam 5/6 volk squads and cap the map around them, tech to a quick Luchs and gg. Same as ostheer, go 5 Grens into a fast Ostwind/P4.
As Ostheer, vs M3/Penals, 4 Grens and MG42 into a scout car or Pak depending on map. Get LMGS and go to town.
As OKW, i'm not quite sure, have not played them enough, but a quick Flaktrack would help I imagine or just hold out with Volks/Sturms into shrecks and t4.
Partly cause I refused to deviate from Volks with Shreks, into Obersoldaten and Panther, then KT. When I play OKW, I have a bad habit of going into auto mode cause they are so strong.
