Thread: Russians get the greatest AT & ARTY gun out of T1?7 Jul 2013, 23:12 PM The problem isn't that the zis AT gun is too strong or versatile. The problem is that the pak is too weak and limited to a single purpose that it can't really fulfill because of its weakness. Having an effective crew size of 2 vs. an effective crew size of 5 + artillery barrage simply isn't worth 360 MP despite the pak's faster reload time. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: mines7 Jul 2013, 23:11 PM Yes it does. It also doesn't subtract the munitions for mines that are blocked by other objects (red) and only uses the munitions for the actually planted ones. But you still need 80 munitions to be able to start building the field. Each of the four fields seems to spawn four small mines in random positions around it in a radius that is marked by the warning signs just outside of it. When you build a single field, you place 4 warning signs. If you build four fields (whole field), you still only seem to spawn 4 warning signs. Thus, manually building only single fields makes the field also much easier to notice. In: COH2 Balance

Thread: Incendiary shell for ostheer mortar7 Jul 2013, 18:33 PM Counter barrage on such a small artillery piece with this limited range really isn't useful. Especially considering that the counter barrage has a range of just 80 whereas the normal barrage has 106 range... I still don't understand why the Soviet mortar gets the precision shot ability. If anything, it should be the other way around (or both small mortars get precision shot). But yeah, incendiary would be nice, too. In: COH2 Balance

Thread: Searching someone to farm Gren +damage bulletin6 Jul 2013, 16:16 PM Just in case anyone doesn't have it already: Play Ostheer vs. Ostheer on a large map like Pripyat Winter. Annihilation, high resources. Build fuel caches and/or Opels. Suicide Panzergrenadiers with Panzerschrecks until you both have 3-4 Panzerschrecks on Grenadier squads. Then call in Elefants or Tigers (Elefant deals no dmg to infantry, Tiger has Opels for more fuel) and have them attack the ground. Kill them with your Grenadiers from the back. While waiting for heavy tank callin cooldowns/fuel, spam pioneers and have massive pio vs. pio battles! btw, does anyone know if friendly fire kills count for stuff like this? Overall, I still think Bulletins are a design mistake that shouldn't have made it into the game. But at least being able to farm them in custom games slightly evens the playing field (although some Bulletins are simply much better than most others). In: Lobby
Thread: Unable to save games5 Jul 2013, 07:15 AM Huh... maybe check if the folder with save games and replays etc. (Documents/My Games/Company of Heroes 2) is copy protected and if you have write access to it. Some anti virus and other tools may change those options. In: COH2 Bugs
