It wasn't the original Company of Heroes team that made CoH: OF and CoH2. When they got into the CoH scene they bring in a lot of new ideas but it seems like they failed to realize what made CoH great.
I can't tell if CoH: OF was a success because it made sales but a lot of people left because of it. The faction design in CoH: OF were pretty bad when it came to skill level and balance, it's like the OF team purposely tried to make the factions cater to noobs, by encouraging blobbing and strong weapon emplacements and giving stupid one click abilities like buttoning.
What made CoH2 disappointing is that Relic put in what was bad in OF into CoH2 so it seems like the CoH2 team also failed to realize what made CoH great. The faction design in CoH2 is just as bad as the OF faction design, and Relic refused to make changes.
Despite all this, Relic did go with the other things that made CoH great. The graphics, the explosions, the dynamic battlefield that can be changed with bombs creating craters for units to take cover in and those kind of other stuff. It's really just the balance and bad faction design that Relic fucks up in CoH: OF and CoH2, but vCoH faction design was still not flawless with stupid abilities like Allied repair, and propaganda. I just wish someone would address all the previous issues without creating new ones. |
I personally think that Obers are killing as fast as they should I like seeing enemy units getting cut down to pieces from a machine gun it just makes coh look and feel more realistic.
The real problem is the other units are not killing as fast they should. Don't touch the obersoldaten, buff the other small arms. |
Don't troll. |
I chose Panther because they are just awesome.
It's kind of unfair to compare them to soviet tanks because Soviets are more of a duel purpose vehicles. They are good against both infantry and tanks so they had to sacrifice their anti tank unlike the Germans who's tanks are only meant for killing other tanks so they only excel in that part. |
Everyone is a bad historian, I doubt any of you read as much World War 2 history as I did and it look's like everyone has deviated from the topic now.

They get their business ideas from Koalas. |
yea its too strong.
double isu's double shotted my KT once
That's impossible, one ISU does 240 damage, so two ISUs does 480 damage + market targets = 960 damage and since two ISUs fired twice that's 1920........
HOLY SHIT!!! |
This thread is definitely not going to the right direction. If you have problems with your units going after the enemy units you clicked on then you should learn to manage your units better. Press the stop button, it's that simple no need to drag this on at all.

After 20 years, the grens are still crawling...
Anyways, I think it's just some bug with Relic it happens with MGs too, when a unit gets suppressed they just stay suppressed even when there is nothing firing at them.
Relic! |
To deal with snipers... well good luck with that. A good player won't let you near his snipers, a bad player will just press retreat and your vehicles would have to chase them all the way back to base.
Against American riflemen, you would have to make MGs with some other units scouting out or taking the damage for the MG. One moving riflemen squad has a chance of killing the mg gunner before the mg gunner suppresses the squad. It's a bit weird but it's Relic balancing.
After you survive the early game just make Stuka, a lots of AT and save for jadgtiger because there's not much else to do when Relic made only a few strategies useful in late game. |
