This is one of the units I think massively over preforms. It has free fire over long range that does really good damage vs infantry and has a barrage that is basically off cooldown by the time it finishes.
It's also got an AT barrage which is surprisingly effective and it gets a massive force multiplier when the infra-red searchlight half-track comes out.
It's expensive, so more of a late game unit in 1v1 but in 2v2 it runs the show.
I disagree. I've not found this to be an issue. I also think that if you reduce the effectiveness of armour it's a further disincentive to tech, which is sometimes a problem already.
You should be rewarded for controlling the fuel, teching up, and constructing armoured units. Fuel control means you have been winning the game and so you should be rewarded.
Infantry AT and AT guns are (for the most part) manpower only counters to fuel units. They should be difficult to kill tanks with unless you set things up well or your opponent is careless.
In team games it's extremely powerful. Even if it's just 2v2. Get one of those and two of those infantry guns (which seem to have no cooldown on their barrage abilities) and you have basically won any game.
