Soviet T3 is situational. Most stock tech choices by SU are situational. Given that, you could endlessly posit circumstances that would merit choosing one unit over the other. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Maps you really REALLY do not like to play on9 Jun 2015, 19:32 PM The CoH1 maps are all painful to play on in CoH2 because they just highlight how fundamentally different the interactions between territory and terrain are between the two games. I always veto blizzard maps on principle, as well as any that feature a lot of deep snow or mud. They are great ideas and all, but they simply don't mesh well with the game as a whole. I feel a lot of maps throw down LOS blocking objects unintentionally and/or randomly, as well as position objects in manners that don't take into account that CoH's pathing is calculated on a rigid checkerboard of a grid. Minsk Pocket is a major offender of this, imo. In: COH2 Gameplay
Thread: Loitering JU-87 anti-tank stuka too strong?8 Jun 2015, 14:53 PM Anti-Air and aircraft in general are handled in a rather clunky fashion. Plane crashes are such a crap shoot that sometimes AA works as much against you as it does help. There's no mechanic that governs anything like having air superiority in a given sector or map. Only blizzards can give any respite to the planes, but blizzards are, well, blizzards. In: COH2 Gameplay

Thread: No tech demo just poor design.6 Jun 2015, 21:01 PM I think the original issue has to do with them not requiring an tech or research to be available. The idea that very early in the game allied players have the option to throw down a very strong blob counter. If I'm playing soviets and I see my axis opponents are going with straight up blobbing action, I've immediately got a GREAT counter available. When I'm playing axis and I'm facing even larger blobs than myself or my team could ever muster, I've got... Well... sign posts. In: COH2 Balance

Thread: Stuka a bit too much31 May 2015, 14:40 PM If a player goes all-in on Jacksons and their opponent goes all-in on Tigers, then the Jacksons are going to be damned efficient. Just like vCoH M10s were (usually with AWM) against Tigers or the KT. If a player puts everything into Jacksons and their opponent starts spamming panzergrens, then the Jacksons are going to be virtually useless. They'd just be taking up pop cap if the crews couldn't just hop out. In: COH2 Balance
