Thread: Brummbar21 Apr 2017, 01:24 AM They're great. Ruined when flanked. Definition of ideal target for tank destroyers. Absolutely wreck team weapons and massed infantry. I wouldn't rush it or skip anything to get it out. If StuGs are working for you, Brummbars will probably work well in your situation. If your StuGs are getting wrecked, your Brummbars will probably get wrecked. In: COH2 Gameplay

It has a high level of risk reward and players have to think strategically about where to put it. You could argue either which way on it's damage and pen rates but the mechanic itself I feel is a good one. At the heart of every good RTS is calculated strategy and risk reward mechanics. If you place it too far forward and use it for defence you risk losing 120 fuel and your ability to field any tanks in the mid to early late game, so it isn't always the best idea (depending on the map and how the front line moves in the match). Repairing it with Stormpios is not as risk free and easy as you make it sound. If the HQ is being mortared and you are trying to fix it, you risk losing a 300MP squad to one stray mortar. Stormpios are super valuable and a heavy cost to replace, not to mention difficult to vet past 2 or 3, so losing them is big. +1 It may be a little gimmicky how it works, but OKW's entire lategame hinges on its survival. Seriously though, I feel like very obivous, simple changes aren't even being looked at or tested in favor of making new abilities and redesigning single units in respect to how they match up against single units. Either by bleeding volks, ruining OKW's map control, or forcing the OKW player to use fausts to kill something as flimsy as an M3. The M3 has always been a sort of monkeywrench unit that doesn't last but sure as hell can throw off an intentional axis strategy. Unfortunately, I feel like GCS is more of an attempt to validate the intended metagame and strategy of WBP. I'm really just seeing specific strategies nerfed and created without respect to faction design. I mean, issues of design can't be balanced away... In: Lobby

(I'm no where near my computer for the next 24 hours so...)‎ I initially checked the stats and saw that they have the jaeger light infantry package and ambush camo upgrade and erroneously assumed they autofired on them. However, this is not the case. I just got to my computer with CoH2, booted it up and called in a JLI squad. Definitely 3 Kar98ks. Let this be a lesson to us all that the game is the final arbiter. Heavy flamers included (according to the article) vehicle flamethrowers like the KV-8, 251 HT flamers, and the crocodile a bit later upon release had the crit still been in the game. As far as I can tell it has been removed. I imagine it was part of the patch after the garrison flame resistant patch since those vehicles were destroying garrisons incredibly fast and then the next patch they toned down the flame power against garrisons. They never removed the massive garrison flame resist part when they toned down the flamethrowers against garrisons, so now you can see a single flamethrower takes like 2-3 minutes to actually set a garrison on fire. Back when molotovs were considered OP... In: COH2 Gameplay
