Thread: (SBP) Bren Guns23 Apr 2018, 05:30 AM or limit the tommy to one bren gun. The current issue is just the fact tommies can equip two. The m1919a6 for the rifle is already limited to 1. This also meant tommies can mix bren and PIAT. keep the nerf for the vickers, however. This limit the power of vicker+ sov conscript. In: COH2 Balance

I'm glad they are capable of revisiting flawed design decisions even at this stage. Gives all of us hope. Just because something is broken to start with doesn't mean you double down on your mistake. I prefer 2 men sniper team, as it allow a move away from the "all or nothing" design on the 1 man sniper. assuming it's 80 hp split into 2 40 hp men, it means the player can't just heal his sniper after a narrow escape. Most likely one of the sniper would have died and require a replacement. In: COH2 Gameplay

More than 3 years the Jackson has been shit. which is why I propose giving it a small size, better rotation, and smoke. There's more to survivability than merely armor and HP. The puma is a good example of how to achieve good survivability without relying on tough armor or a huge hp pool. A puma with the jackson's gun would be a very good unit. In: COH2 Balance

Any more "high damage slow reload" is going to be 240 damage 10 reload. The current jackson is already a better firefly anyway. The tulip rocket is just ridiculously expensive. In: COH2 Balance

There is much less of a difference in cost and arrival time between ostwind and t-70 than 222 and t-70 and yet people don't scream that t-70 is UP becouse of that. the fundamental problem is the fact the wehr is the only faction to lack a light tank in its tech tree. The 222 is more of a light truck similar to the m20, dodge, or m3 scout car. The panzergrenadier buff was to essentially allow the wehr to have decent mobile anti-tank unit at the light tank stage. The firefly have 640 hp, but it's slow, it fire slow, and its turret rotate slow. The jackson with 640 hp lack none of those weakness. The jackson should have had its evasion increase to reinforce the fact it's a skirmisher, not a slugger. Instead of the hp increase, this is what the jackson should have gotten: hp at 480 (3 shots) native sight to 45 + 5 at vet 2. rotation to 32 (same as panzer4) from 30. get smoke by default. size decrease to 22 from 24. gun remain the same. (160 damage with ~6.6 reload) this increase the jackson' survivability at far range through evasion, but at close range its 480 hp will still be a liability. the new spring patch is just doubling down on the original mistake by turning the jackson into a brawler. The target size of the vehicle should be cut to about 1/4 of the vehicles normal target size. It shouldn't get a range or reload boost. The current ability is a really niche ability. A straight nerf would make it mostly useless. I second this as well. Given the dps and penetration on tank destroyer, the only way to protect yourself is to not get hit. the bonus should be. -50% incom accuracy -25% incom damage + 60 armor value. (panzer 4 with +25% armor is not noticeable) In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Hull down in Spring Ballance Patch20 Apr 2018, 23:42 PM hull down was never used because it turn the tank completely immobile and vulnerable to td. The one unit that's useful with hulldown is the panther since it boost its range to 60, but that's way too niche. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: The Sherman in WWII 20 Apr 2018, 04:13 AM Jump back to quoted post7 Apr 2018, 19:41 PMTheBorg0 (Sorry for doublepost) I think this is relevant as well, but the panther was only classed as a medium tank by the germans at 50 tons over the original 30 tons design (In the 30 ton design it would have been a nearly copy of the T-34), by allied standards of tank making it was a heavy tank. It had a 3-5 km/h reverse speed as well. at 45 ton the panther was as heavy as the pershing and the is-2 field by the allies, and the is-2 was clearly a heavy tank. the original vk20 and vk30 tank project was meant to be a successor to the panzer4/3 hence the medium tank designation despite its weight. The final drive was a victim of this shift in weight. It was designed to be cheap enough to produce and meant to support a 30 ton tank. A final drive strong enough for the 45ton would have significantly increased its cost. Rolewise, heavy tank were meant to carry an assault. The idea is that those superior tank would be used at the point of breakout. They were not meant for wide deployment and cost was less of an issue. The panther tank tried to combined the cost of a medium with the combat power of a heavy tank, but the end result was a tank with inherent mechanical problem. In: The Library
