Since OKW currently crutches on a single commander (well unit, the Tiger) I believe the best avenue to fix them up a bit is not buffing the stock army, but slightly fixing up the doctrines. These buffs are in anticipation of the upcoming heavy tank nerfs.
Fortification doctrine: Artillery Field Officer from Ostheer added and bundled LeFH with Pak43.
Scavenge doctrine: Ostwind should require Panzer authorization or just Schwerer HQ if Med HQ and Mech HQ are up. +2 fuel from thorough salvage.
Special Operations: Make the Command Panther a bit better vs infantry.
Luftwaffe Forces: Remove faust from Falls, replace heavy fortifications with Osttruppen doc supply drop.
Breakthrough doctrine: Replace panzerfusiliers with breakthrough equipment (satchel for Spios, smoke nade for STG Volks, Mark target for Obers)
Elite Armoured: Replace 221/223 with 200mp/30fuel 222 built from HQ when first truck is set up. Improve Sturmtiger damage.
Overwatch: Reduce flares set up time, slightly improve sector assault a bit |
Elite armor is fine, except for the fact the Sturmtiger is useless. The 221 is really useful, whereas the 222 wouldn't do anything for a faction that has the Luchs.
You could crutch on it to go Med HQ and straight to Schwerer.
The 222 could be very useful for OKW, especially since they suffer to support weapons spam early. |
Elite Armoured for OKW needs to finally be fixed
222 Scout Car: 200mp/30fuel once a truck is set up
Elite Vehicle Crew repairs
HEAT rounds
Panzer commander
Sturmtiger (Shell needs to deal more damage to vehicles, slightly increase damage to infantry) |

Great work as always by SiphonX.
I think stats confirm those :
> USF is fine
> Soviets need heavy tank nerfs
> OKW is a dead faction once heavy tanks are nerfed
> OST is a little underperforming (due to LV phase + bad T4)
> UKF on life support
Fixed |
Or just follow my suggestion and make them 30-50 fuel more expensive and give their call in ability a 10-20 minute cooldown. |
Ostheer will continue to suffer until they get a mobile AT platform in the early game. They had that in GSC2 (Puma) and now they don’t.
Personally I’d love to see either Pioneers getting a Panzershrek (able to purchase alongside sweeper but not flamer) or a 90fuel Panzer IV F1 from T2. |
I like the M5 Assault Group, post buffs. I liked the Recon Company AT Gun + Support Paratrooper airdrop too.
Unit bundles, if priced correctly, can be both viable and strategically interesting.
Sure, you could ditch the halftrack and just have Assault Guards, but then you'd just end up with another generic CQC unit. The price would go up because unbundled Assault Guards are overpowered at a 270 MP 0 MU price point.
You'd just end up with another generic CQC squad. We've got loads of those.
If you dislike unit bundles on principle, fair enough, but the M5 bundle is well worth its price in its current state.
Which is why I suggested T4 buildable guards so you can have both the bundle, which averages at a lower price and is immediate, as well as buildable at a higher price if you absolutely don’t want the M5. |
I would reduce its maximum range, make it fire 1 or two fewer rockets and give it the same health and armour that the 251 has. That way its durable enough to let you play it near the frontlines. Bonus points if its MG could actually hurt infantry a bit. |
underperform is a bit overrated. They r actually useless.
Luvnest disagrees. |
