that depends on how good the yield is. most of the time time its about 1 month. the good thing is that by the time you get your new pc, zen will likely be available, which menas lower prices or higher performance |

if you include buying a monitor and a keyboard for the normal rig, its about right. Okay so Gaming Laptop is a no-go, better stick with good old PC rig, any tips for decent motherboard, what to look for in a motherboard? its not a nogo but if you dont have a lot of cash, or arent depserately in need of being very mobile, i would always go for a normal rig. the choice of the motherboard depends on the platform you want to choose and that depends on the pricepoint for the new skylake generation, the asus z170 pro gaming is the standart recommendation for example. but honestly, if you want to buy a new pc, wait one month more, because atm it is the worst time to buy a new pc, as nivida has just launched (very high prices) and amd will launch in 2 weeks (low availability) |

Man look at all those sweet ultra gaming rig, if I won a lottery I would ditch my 7-year old rig and grab one of those, I travel a lot so any tips for a decent gaming laptop in the range of $1000 to $1500? honestly, for 1500$ you can get a pretty beastly rig already. i5 6600k, gtx 1070 (after it has dropped a little in price), 16 gigs ram, good psu. for gaming laptops: they suck. you can get a pc with the same power for half the price but if you really want one: where are you planning to buy it? i have no clue which english sites are good for that, therefore point me in the direction and i will have a look |

no. just NO even if it was the premium model at that point, it is outdated now. there is a big difference between PSUs, one might not be able to see them, but 1. you hear them (cheap ones are often loud) 2. you will smell it. i had a bad psu fry my motherboard. it was okay, because it was a 40 bucks board, but you dont want that to happen in your 2000$ PC the thing is that new and good PSUs regulate the current much better which decreases the chance of instabilities and protects you from overvoltage/current therefore you need to spend a little http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA68V21E0644 (pretty good, have it myself now) or http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA68V39G8981&cm_re=be_quiet_pro_power_11 ![]() ![]() or http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA2F84479060&cm_re=Cooler_Master_VS-Series_550W ![]() ![]() and yes 500 to 550 watt is absolutely enough even with OC |
Thread: SSD's14 Jun 2016, 19:34 PM
this would be my suggestion: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA2F83426468&cm_re=crucial_mx_200_500gb%2b ![]() ![]() its pretty much the standart suggestion in my pc forum about your build: case is not bad ( i got the phantek enthoo pro for myself, its just a bit more slick with the psu cover and the hdds to the back side) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811854003&cm_re=enthoo_pro ![]() ![]() fractal design r5 is pretty good aswell http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811352048&cm_re=fractal_design_r5 ![]() ![]() ram is fine, if you want you can get drr 3000 or 3200, but that doesnt matter much mainboard is excellent, cpu is fine now, why do you buy 6 fans? and cheap ones? i would rather get 2 or three fans for two times the price. you dont need 6 fans at all, and especially if you want to use your pc longer, they will last and be worth it (cheap ones get loud really fast) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835352023&cm_re=fractal_venturi ![]() ![]() http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA68V21E0606&cm_re=silent_wings_2_140mm ![]() ![]() for the cpu cooler: if you spend that much money on a pc, get a decent and quiet cooler http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA68V21E0632&cm_re=dark_rock ![]() ![]() that is a little over the top, the sweet spto would be a macho x2 or a brocken 2, they are quieter and better wait a little bit for the tests on 1080 custom designs and get a good one what psu are you getting? |

dont know too much about the 1tb models but: samsung has had some problems in the past with SSDs (trim error deleting data, etc) better go for a crucial mx 200, i have the 500GB version myself, very good SSD the big difference is mostly lifetime, then speed for larger files (depending on the technology used) personally i wouldnt buy a TB ssd, 500 gigs + a 2tb hdd is much better value for the average gamer. what have you planned for the rest of the build? anyone helping you? |
Thread: Small balnce change about IR halftrack12 Jun 2016, 09:04 AM
the thing is that 3v3 and 4v4 maae for 0% of the competetive games and you balance for the competetive modes. you cannot change units because of that. imo, they should reduce fuel income in 3v3 and 4v4 slightly, would make these modes more balanced In: COH2 Balance |
Thread: Should be there a 3rd axis faction? If yes who?11 Jun 2016, 09:25 AM
i would certainly like a third axis faction. problem is, we are talking about relic here: the game would be cancerfree by 2019 and balanced by 2137 therefore i voted "no faction" In: COH2 Gameplay |
Thread: Small balnce change about IR halftrack11 Jun 2016, 09:22 AM
this is a 3v3+ issue, its fine, if not UP in 1v1 and 2v2 In: COH2 Balance |
