Panther is good. If you are already winning that is, so you can afford to sit on your ass, spend some 200 fuel and 700 manpower on teching and getting one instead of going 2 p4s OR just, and get this: Get a panther that actually deals AI damage as well (this version is called tiger and requires no t4)
Also brumbär is great. If you can run around the map microing it attacking single units ground attacking close range like a short sighted drooling quasimodo. This pimped up 222 also gets outranged by AT guns until you get vet1 ability so you both can reach each others. |
Why is Stug E in this Doctrine to begin with? For its cost it is the absolute most useless defense vehicle I could imagine:
-Can't hit a mobile unit.
-Gets countered by every vehicle with AT capability.
-Gets countered by AT because unlike its big brother It doesn't have the range increase skill button.
-It has no turret so you are gonna get Reliced when the enemy starts pushing. You smash that U and try to reverse to safety but your Stugs just start showing ass like its pride parade.
It's an assault gun and sucks even at that because it can't deal with soft AT of any kind. Remove it from this doctrine and replace it with something useful or thematic like:
-3CP supply drop or supply truck would actually incentivise playing defensive and reward you for succeeding in it.
-2CP OKW AA HT in T2 would fit the theme
-spotting scopes |
I would have to go with option 2. increasing penetration. This thing already performs well enough against infantry and any buffs to health or direct damage output would make it outperform.
Increasing its penetration is called for to mirror the anti-light vehicle performance of USF AA HT. There is no need for these AI supression platforms to have that high of a AT capability to begin with.
That being said, I don't believe that making OKW T1 great again should be done by just buffing the vehicle that comes out of it.
-It seems that the cost of going T1 is not worth the marginal utility. If you don't wanna buff anything just make T1 cheaper and people are going to start going for it more. Simple economics. Long live capitalism. |

Buffing JP4 offensive capabilities would make it super broken.
If JP4 is to be buffed it should be done through buffing it's defensive capabilities that makes it perform better against opponents TDs but hinders performance against others:
-high vet level also adds incoming damage reduction to the camouflage mode.
Effectively would enable JP4 to take one more shot if you had camo toggled throughout combat at the cost of mobility. |

Main weapon crits are something we know of and only affect vehicles that are already on their last breath. Sure in 1v1 tank brawl situation this dooms your tank to lose, but it does not differ anyway from you bouncing your last shot and enemy penetrating with his. Just more flavourful way to introduce RNG. If you don't like RNG then yee can giid out.
Abandoned vehicles on the other hand are bullshit and should be removed as the effect is far too great and can simply win the game for one side. |
So because one stat is lower than that of a unit from the opposite faction you think this alone makes it unbalanced? How about all the other attributes of these squads?
This is a game where asymmetrical factions fight each others so you can't compare one attribute in a vacuum without taking into account the other attributes AND all the other units and the combined arms that each faction can field as a whole. |
AP/HE button for stugs. This was germanys most produced AFV and it should be the main medium battle tank for ostheer instead of p4.
Thematically it follows the factional trend perfectly: It's cost effective, loses terribly at short range if you flank it but shines at long range. |
Mg42 underperforms only in the early game of 1v1s where you are forced to use it too aggressively to even the odds. After the early game when you have other options and you can start using it more defensively the mg42 becomes the best mg in the game due to wide arc and best supression.
Best way to "fix" mg42 would be to switch mg42s and grens place so you are not stucked with this flank magnet from the beginning if you don't want to. Just put mortar, pak and mg in t1, gren to t0 and move sniper to t2. |
