Thread: Water Waves in WB227 Oct 2020, 18:28 PM You will want to look at ACTION MARKERS. 1) Main Menu RENDER PROXY MARK (little RED flag) on menu bar. 2) Then set the MARKER MODE to ACTION MARKER. 3) Right click on your map where you want the waves/smoke/fire/etc. 4) A white circle object will appear. Select it. 3 axis gizmo will appear. 5) Click on EDIT ACTION on right toolbar. 6) Under NEW COMMAND select FX_ORPHAN. 7) Click on the FX entry elipses (...). A list will appear of graphical FX you can add to the map. 8) I would start my search under FX_AMBIENT\WATER. Select one. 9) Then select APPLY CHANGES. Repeat steps 8-9 until you find the one you want. It may take a few seconds for the FX to start. If it never does, click RESTART ALL. If still no FX, it may be under the ground or require to be on water etc. Or it just does not work (very rare). I hope that is what you were looking for. In: Mapping Discussion

Some players drop because they know the other team is really good or their team sucks bad. And using CELO we see premades with ranks like top 50 against 9000 rank players. Is it fair to be forced to play that? And how many team games do you have where your partner makes a mortar or ambulance first thing. That game is over. There is no way you will win that. Alt-F4. A myriad of reasons that probably have to do with Microsoft. With the XBOX pass thing etc. Maybe moving it to actual Xbox requires a 64 bit program, etc. The beta is missing the TWITCH panel on the main menu. Microsoft is not going to advertise for their competitors. It all smells of Microsoft integration. Good or bad? Too early to tell. Any progress on making the game better is great progress in my eyes. But I have also had a full health P4 chase a near dead sherman. The p4 missed/did not pen 100% of its shots and died to the sherman. So the p4 bounced/missed rear armor shots at close range. While the sherman penned frontal armor 100%. Now imagine this happens and I lose the p4 to the enemy. Screw losing the game, I would pick up my PC and smash it thru my monitor. And as a fan/viewer I would no longer have any desire to watch this shit show. In: COH2 Gameplay
Thread: "Error Writing File" when Trying to Publish Maps12 Sep 2020, 12:02 PM In the past I recall that there is a limit to how many maps you can publish to steam. You may have found that limit. I thought Mono had hit that limit before, so maybe you have not yet? Or the limit/limit message has changed since then. At one point I would get Error Writing File with a code like #2 or something. But I found if I published from a different PC, the map would publish fine. The fix was to reinstall steam on the problem PC (which I would only do as a last resort cause you may lose everything, games, etc). In: Mapping Discussion
