Thread: How does Merge work?8 Jun 2017, 17:15 PM conscript veterancy during merge DOES and DOES NOT follow, it all depend on which stats you are speaking about. vet3 conscript merged into a vet0 penal -> conscript will keep some of its vet3 bonus, like the (-40% ?)received accuracy but won't keep it's accuracy bonus. Vet0 cons merge into vet3 penals -> cons gain the vet3 accuracy bonus that penal has, but it does not get the vet3 received accuracy that penal has and so are still killed as fast as regular conscript (insanely fast). it's the same for other stats, some will be kept on the conscript squad and some others will be taken from the penal squad. Right now, using conscript is like shooting a bullet in your own foot and skiping them is as bad as using them because every faction need mainline infantry. Guard (2CP) : too late Engineer : Do i really need to say why an engineer squad is not made to be a mainline infantry ? Maxim : Not supposed to be mainline infantry, not efficient to this goal since last nerf. Partysans : partysans are the symbol of relic job in balancing coh2. They are overpowered in the 5 seconds you spawn them and then become useless in the 50 next minutes. As you see, there is only 2 answer to the conscript issue : 1) use another faction until it (eventually) get fixed 2) GTFO of coh2 In: Red Army Strategies

Would be interesting to see what percentage of the players don't notice that their mortar pits don't autofire. took the idea from another WWII RTS, it works pretty well because then people use their mortar only to destroy heavily defended position, and not to shoot at every passing squad. so not so extreme, but i duoubt it ever get put in coh2 which is very casual. Thread: Why is the OST mortar's ROF so high?27 May 2017, 09:32 AM fix to all mortar in COH2 : REMOVE AUTOFIRE. artillery is pure cancer in game, like in war, but at least during the war it didn't shoot automatically at nearest ennemies. if you force people to micro their mortar, and only allow them to attack a position and not a mooving squad, then every problem related to artillery would be fixed. Still, there was good guy in the german army, SS included, as there was also rapist in american army. (diferent french girl farm rapped, mostly by black american soldier). but since relic is a company which has to earn money, i understand why they want to avoid making campaign from german point of view. on the other hand, they had no problem making the player burn farm with citizen inside in coh2 soviet campaign ... Is there that much a difference between nazi and soviet burning people inside farm ? In: Lobby

They like to build campaign around an immersive character or group of characters. The problem with the German faction is how can you make a cool and nice character belonging to the Wermarch. There are many games were you can make the bad guys looking cool, but it is a really risky task when your bad guys are based on the Nazi. This could be assimilated to Nazi propaganda, revisionism etc... Not to mention the potential interdition to sale in Germany and some others European countries. such bullshit, you can take a famous wehrmach commander like Rommel who was one of the best panzer commander and in the same time tried to assasinate hitler. no one is going to say that rommel was nazi.. And many other games made a german solo, like the recently released STEEL DIVISION where you can take control of 21 PANZER in normandy and push back the americans out of france. there is absolutely no reason, except being lazy, to only do an allies campaign.
