Thread: Tough match on Arnhem Checkpoint7 Sep 2015, 02:00 AM Centaurs are crazy. That thing singlehandedly negated all my infantry in this match, and the AT gun spam ensured my mediums couldn't stop it. Anyone watching, please leave comments. Is there anything I could have done to stop this combo ahead of time, or without needing a miracle Tiger? In: Replays

Do you guys think a double Sturmpioneer opening is viable against brits? Volks seem very weak and shrecks are not really needed in abundance. In early they loose against tommies, in mid there are not many light vehicles around and in late most brit tanks have strong AI capabilities making AT infantry an mp drain (centaur, chromwell, comet, churchill). Could it make sense to go Volks, Volks, Sturms instead of triple Volks? If, yes, in combination with which commander do you think this is usefull? Appreciate any thoughts on that matter. cheers. It's exactly what I do. Sturm, Volk, Sturm, Volk. Tier 1, Retreat Point, ISG, Jagdpanzer, ISG. Branch out from there depending on needs in the game. Commander doesn't really matter, though I usually end up taking Luftwaffe for Falls, or Breakthrough for Fusiliers. And yes, get 2 Shrecks ASAP, otherwise Bren Flamers will eat you alive. Only people not seeing ost sniper overperforming(he is 'fine' only and exclusively against soviets) are the ones with hard-on for axis. We'll see what relic will do, but to expect ost sniper staying as he is and not get nerfed to brit sniper levels is naive. -.- I have played exclusively Axis in the past week and I still have more than twice as many career games played as Allies. Stop assuming that when people don't want Axis things nerfed it's because they're fascist fanboys. Both US and Soviets can counter him easily. He overperforms against Brits solely because of how easy it is to manpower bleed them. I repeat, the solution is not nerfing the sniper, it's reducing the purchase and reinforcing costs of Infantry sections so Brits aren't so easily pushed off the map. In: COH2 Balance

If this is true, that voice announce will soon be not needed. I hope not. Blizzards are great flavor and immersion, and really help set the tone of the Russian winter. He's hard countered by the Soviet sniper, and Americans also have easily accessible counters. Thus, the solution is not to nerf the sniper, but instead to reduce IS reinforce cost so the sniper doesn't bleed them dry. In: COH2 Balance

Too good, too overperforming. No, it isn't. It does exactly the job it's supposed to. A Firefly loses to a Panzer 4 1v1. The problem is that Brit players keep thinking it's supposed to stand in the front line and trade shots, IT ISN'T. Get a Comet or a Churchill or Cromwell for that. In: COH2 Balance
