Thread: Assault Guards into more doctrines!4 Sep 2019, 14:26 PM They should come in the Assault M3 from USF's mechanized. That would give Soviets a doctrinal option to heal on the front (it can drop med kits). It would also be more unique than just a halftrack you can get from T3 anyway. A slight cost decrease would be in order, because the Assault M3 doesn't scale exceptionally when unable to put Zooks in it and when compared to the M5 quad. I was thinking 490-ish manpower and 30 fuel. In: COH2 Balance

Assault Guards: 1 Flares 2 .71 RA, .75 cd 3 40% acc, +25% grenade range 2880 xp required for vet 3. Assault Guard vet is basically the same as Shock Troop vet, but has higher requirements (2720 for them). Seems fitting for the unit, and not overpowered. The requirements had been too high, but might be more reasonable now that the squad deals a lot more damage. Flares are boring for an elite unit and should be replaced with something more fitting, like what was was done for Shocks and Penals. Assault Guards have worse RA than normal Guards at vet 3 with 0,71 vs 0,66. I'd rather see them give up their slightly better accuracy bonus of 40% vs 30% for more durability. You're right about the Veterancy requirements. They seem a bit high, but propably don't need a change now that they have three Thompsons. In: COH2 Balance

Currently you have to tell it to drop off, then reselect it, then tell it to drive away somewhere safe. What it needs to the functionality to automatically drop off troops and then move away from the danger. Select an infantry squad inside the halftrack and right click, instead of using the drop off button. That way you can give a move order to somewhere safe and have a squad leave the vehicle, without it having to stop. In: COH2 Gameplay

A visual indicator showing if the gun is not up yet would be helpful. (I wouldn't mess with the setup animation though it actually looks kinda cool if you watch them set up the truck). It will shoot at infantry anyway if you activate anti-air mode. In: COH2 Balance
