Thread: Going Double Wehrmacht 1 Jul 2015, 18:09 PM I feel like the Puma fills the role of medium tank fairly well. I build one every game and usually get it to five stars from killing enemy armor and bleeding infantry consistently. I always love it when my enemy gets his first tank and immediately goes balls deep on my Puma that's been harassing his infantry all game. Kite + Aimed Shot + circle strafe and that's a dead tank. With vet it can even effectively engage an IS2 frontally from range, and that turret lock crit is a brilliant support ability. It even gets smoke! Puma is one of my favorite vehicles. Fast and agile like a Kubel, the penetration of a tank, utility comparable to TWP, the survivability of smoke, range of a light TD, and it even guns down infantry better than a T34. It's only weakness is armor and health. I'd take a Puma over a PzIV any day. In: COH2 Gameplay

Fuel income is reduced by 33% and munitions income is increased by 50%. I feel like this is the best solution. It'll delay tech and force OH to play without tanks instead of just stockpiling fuel and converting on demand. Soviet Windustry would probably be just as OP if instead of passive conversion you could just spend MP to buy fuel. No commander should be able to instantly convert large amounts of resources instantaneously on demand. It hugely nullifies the trade off aspect. In: COH2 Balance

After 2 schrecks and few mines you have nothing to spend ammo for (just nades but 15-19ammo/min is enough for them) -> fuel conversion all day long. Just because you like to use the inefficient resource conversion, which honestly puts you at an even worse economic position, and don't know how to use munitions doesn't mean everyone does. I actually tend to convert fuel to munitions whenever I use the ability. So what if my enemy has armor, I have a ten squad Panzershreck blob and mines and bunkers everywhere. Plus some Obersoldaten and probably a Pak 43 to boot. And here comes my artillery. Munitions beats fuel. You may need fuel to tech and build armor, but armor can be countered with manpower alone and is doubly vulnerable when munitions gets involved. Meanwhile the only thing that counters munitions is more munitions. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Why No Maxim Buff?1 Jul 2015, 06:58 AM As narrow as the cone is with the lack of aoe suppression, they'd might as well make the maxim like 1919 rifles. Remove the cone limitation entirely, so it's only set up or not with 360 degree arc of fire. When setup it supresses. Buff damage to satisfaction and make it expensive or be a conscript upgrade. Season to taste. It barely works as an HMG anyways, might as well drop the facade. And it's unique too. Look Relic, asymmetry! Your favorite! In: COH2 Gameplay

Look a month ago I woulda jumped on any mistake he made and probably made some clever insinuation of fanboyism like everyone else. But he's turning a new leaf here. Grow the fuck up. He's got a valid point and you're all just arguing semantics here. A major reason that it's risky whenever OKW builds another Sturm is that it greatly handicaps field presence. It's a trade-off between a good support/assault squad or a frontline combat unit with another available soon down the road. And yes, the game does force the OKW into the more risky side of that choice. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Can we plz fix the Rifle nade?1 Jul 2015, 03:43 AM I remember two occasions where my grens actually killed themselves by shooting a rifle nade and it hitting a building right in front of them. On topic, I think it would be nice if riflenades had a timer that started when the nade was fired. Just make it equal to time of travel at max range. Now you can't complain about it being subtle cause there's a bigass red number hurtling towards you. In: COH2 Gameplay
Thread: Are kubelwagens OP1 Jul 2015, 03:32 AM I always keep Mechanized in my USF loadouy and the instant I hear a fence breaking that's too far from enemy base to be an HQ truck I grab a wc51. I then rape the kubel and use my mobility and numbers advantage to gain map control. Then withdraw the wc51 once it's useless and I've basically ruined my opponent's early game for free. Snowball into gg. I never liked disregarding tech anyways. In: COH2 Balance

If you put your vehicles on ice, then you understand that you risk them getting sunk and shouldn't be surprised when it happens. If you put your units in deep snow, then you understand that you're slowing them down, and shouldn't be surprised when they get wiped. You can't be mad at anyone but yourself. It's also very satisfying exploiting deep snow when fighting your enemies. In: COH2 Gameplay
