So, pre-patch:
Guards are worthless outside sniper builds and people are happy when they drop PTRS
Tank Hunter is a gimmick commander that no one takes seriously, and everyone complains that Commanders without Call-In tanks are worthless
Post-Patch:
People are actually happy to use Guards again, they aren't a 4 man squad when fighting infantry any more
Tank Hunters is actually useful for once (despite the fact that it doesn't have a heavy call in tank - hey! I guess call in meta got addressed!)
Sorry, a unit that was extinct before now gets used.
And it is in a niche (long range SOV infantry) - that didn't really exist before
As such it is way too early to make any judgement if it is OP or not because people have no experience of how to deal with it.
+1
Also, this new commander gives us a bit more diversity for Soviets as well. I am tired of seeing Shocks into IS2s every game now. People wanted diversity and now they have it. |
But OKW does not lack vehicles. Puma/JP4, they are very potent BUT ppl wants stuff easy to use, so they go Panther and bitch about Puma and JP4. They just lack skill and can't admit it.
Typical OKW player lacks the micro to use Puma so they prefer A-attack blobs with Obers. |
Remember when people were saying the Ober nerf would stop the blobing? lol.
OKW will always be blob prone as long as they lack support weapons and the ability to make tanks.
At least A-attack move blobs come with heavy muni price now. |
yeah exactly. the first thing that probably go through people's minds is "im gonna camp that bridge with my elefant or jagdtiger!!!"
This map favors Axis heavily: best set up. CAS + Jagd/Ele + Flack Truc + Spotlight Truck. |
Time for some SAS bad ass in jeeps raiding German lines! |
I played against this strategy, no problem handling this. Assault Support pins everything down, my MG did not die as well. PTRS are fine even vs P4. |
New Brit army equals 50/50 (Axis & Aliies) players searching? I wonder how many Brits here will be loyal to their army or betray to join Nazi cause in MP. |
Feels like a glass cannon now - despite having still IS-2 armor. Everything focuses fire on it and it goes down way too fast for my taste. Coupled with slow speed its only good for the defensive. Paying 260 fuel + buying all buildings + decreased fuel income + not spending the fuel on anything else is a bit much for a unit that can sit at one VP and guard it.
Disagree with me but I´m disappointed.
KT is not mandatory btw. Even if you build all those buildings, you are reaping the rewards from them. Don't forget you have other choices of Armor and call ins aside from KT. |
"Just flank" Kappa
But seriously, if 375 isn't enough for a frontal assault, then by that logic there's nothing in the Allied arsenal that's good enough for a frontal assault.
This guys just sums it up. |
And the Axis tears are coming into Balance threads now. Come on, you can't be serious about KT fuel. The KT still retains it's high damage gun and absorb substantial amount of damage. Please, USF has no heavy armor what so ever, but the infantry and combined arms work.
Now, OKW cant just park it's KT on the VP and let it sit there and micro A-attack blob. You will have micro the tank and watch for Jacksons and dedicated AT. Welcome to COH2 where you have to micro your tanks. |
