if your opponent is having fun with double mortars or leigs you are not doing your job properly pushing him.
for manpower starved factions like OST and OKW bringing out a mortar this early is a terrible cost and you fuel it by your stupidity playing defensively.
IS can rape Volks and Grens early on with cover. use it wisely if you decide to go that route.
UKF, infamously known for aggressive play with their 4 man tommies early game
especially if you get a mortar pit along |
I think the well-deserved criticism of the CoH2 single-player campaign pushed Sega / Relic to launch the Western Front again, and again we will see the same factions in CoH3, which is already starting to annoy and I’m thinking about not buying the game. Instead of fixing the CoH2 situation with a single player campaign. And release a new single player campaign and focus around small but elaborate events. And the Eastern Front is a huge theater with a huge number of stories that are simply not used. Just a simple example to illustrate. Take the final part of the war Battle of Hungary. This is a huge scope for new Fractions: Hypothetical Guards Army with SU-100, ISU-122, IS-1, IS-2 various T-34 variants: T-34-85, T-34-76 with additional armor, T-60, paratroopers (who were supposed to be used in the landing operation in Hungary), 107-mm mountain mortars, BS-3 100-mm AT gun, and so on. The Hungarian faction which had its own tanks, and the German tanks (Marder, Hetzer, Pz4, Pz.38, Tiger) and the German support of the King Tigers. Hungary was the last major German offensive. Great story, the entire Eastern Front is a huge treasure trove of stories and operations. But it's much easier to make Enemy at the Gates and propaganda nonsense, instead of a detailed and interesting story about the Eastern Front.
its even surprising we got a third game installation, even if it started off as just coh2 assets in a new engine
italy is probably the most boring theater of europe, and likely the most irrelevant one too, they really could have picked any front and have it be more interesting. At least the grandson of Dr Goebbels, Duffy, who was directly responsible for the worst plotline in a RTS ever, has left relic in 2021

people who exclusively play okw/wehr -> "maxim good"
|
Even sweeper combat engineers can get to vet3 by ease, thanks to their rifles.
no they cant
lol |
Wait... People use the SU-76?
For real though 75 seconds seems pretty long for something that isn't free anymore and it's not exactly super strong unless it's one of those things that is stealth good but nobody knows because it's buried on a unit that hasn't been buffed out of irrelevancy yet.
the prime focus on the thread is not the unit itself, but the barrage
while its TECHNICALLY a "superior" barrage, the zis-3 can fire shells out almost constantly, and three barrages certainly are better than one identical one.
the stealth doesn't even give an ambush bonus, so that's a waste |
Oh yeah, another SOV is UP thread.
On previous episode we agreed to make Maxim 240mp.
Now we agree to give SU free barrages. I also say give SOV the T14 Armatas along with free loiter planes.
no?
i simply asked why the same bloody barrage ability takes 3 times more on one unit than the other |
And yet here you are complaning about stats of inf. from the worst faction ATM?
They are the only base line inf. with NO AT nade. Use that fact wisely instead of jumping into tommies behind green cover.
tommies are only ever terminators once the person who uses them puts command vehicle aura behind them |
the em dzhi thirty four is an alright machine gun, machine guns are not supposed to do damage but to suppress enemies
it does that well, except the mg-42 does it way better. could be turned into a mg-42 clone for all i care |
Perhaps you can give this rank 10 million player some advise, I felt completely at a loss to do anything vs this strat. I wonder if using flame HT would have been a good options as it has more AoE. I tried using 222 but the paths model wipe any supporting infantry faster than the 222 can deal damage to thier blob.
you had too few infantry and built a second MG against pathfinders
final verdict: blob better and build more lmg grenadiers |
the su-76 and the zis-3 share the same barrage ability, for the same munitions cost, but the zis-3 will have a ~25 second (vet 0) cooldown as the barrage ends, before it fires again. and the SU-76M will, after finishing it's own barrage, have a 75 SECOND cooldown before it can fire again.
ignoring the "Akhully, the su-76m fires a bit faster and..." argument, why does the su-76 have such harsh cooldown restrictions when the very same ability on the more available zis-3 exists?
you wont go for more than one su-76 anyway, if any, but you likely will go for two zis guns on the field. If there is a patch, why shouldn't the su-76 get a matching cooldown with the stationary at gun? you can already play USF so this change would be more a QoL than a balance one
please do not consider this as a buffing a weak unit thread, but rather as a hotfixing an artificially nerfed ability to match other units |
