and there are people with shit ISPs who do not have any other choice. my ISP has some issue that kills my connection periodically. i could get another one, but it would be more expensive. many people don't have another option. |

idk... on one hand, i'd rather they drop then instead of later, when things are actually happening. on the other hand, it's a pain in the ass to get a game and have someone drop because it throws the entire game. usually if one person drops everyone else will. |
actually no. Their aim should be a balanced game regardless what their customers want because some would totally fuck up balance because of their own biased vieuws. And i suspect you are one of them
That the majority holds a view doesn't are right.
balance is either subjective, in which case you aim for most people to be satisfied, or it is statistical, in which case you compare the different parts through math. of course that requires things be assigned values, which is subjective.
relic appears to be trying to balance statistically but they're leaving people dissatisfied and they're not doing a very good job. |

yeah, i had a 300$ PSU go bad. it looked like a GPU issue, and the BSOD report indicated it was, but it turned out to be the PSU. i spent 100$ on a GPU and another 100$ on a PSU before i figured it out and warrantied my PSU. |

you can't prevent me from leaving the game. i can kill the process (which will look like a drop, not someone leaving) or pull the plug on my computer in the worst case.
and you may find it a toxic attitude but i'm not going to stick around for another 20mins in a game that is pretty clearly lost, it's just a waste of time. maybe i'm wrong, maybe we can make a come back, but i'm pretty good at judging lost causes and i'm not going to stick around for the 10% i'm wrong about just because someone else doesn't want to concede. |

the game will play on an HD4000, albeit with low resolution, shitty graphics, and some lag in blizzards.
if you want examples of random shit happening, all you have to do is play this game.
see if the restart generated a crash report though, if it did and they all say the same thing you could shoot them to intel and see what they have to say. don't give it to relic, they won't be very helpful. |

gokkel has a point though, people will just continue to complain about OKW until they can no longer fight. People complained about Ostheer since release and now look where they are, they are ridiculously disadvantaged against USF.
making EVERYONE satisfied would require a tiny player base. the trick is to make most people satisfied and address obvious issues. people complain about every faction right now but that doesn't mean it's balanced, it just means that there is something about each faction that someone doesn't like.
i could go on but i don't think i could even attempt to answer how to make things mostly balanced without writing pages. |
