For the cost its not bad, but as a unit, well, I don't see a single reason to get churchil over comet. The increased repair speed that comes with "anvil" sounds decent though. In theory that should create a good synergy with the Churchill. |
The Churchill is more specialized in its role than the KV1. The KV is sort of like a tougher generalist tank, while the Church can take a staggering amount of punishment. It's too slow to chase most stuff down as Kat has been saying. It had more HP than some heavy tanks from memory? Not as much armor as I thought but the point isn't to deflect, it's to absorb (design wise). But honestly it could be the other way around by the time the game comes out, who knows.
If it does ship roughly in that line though, you could say the Church is much better in the defensive role to protect other tanks and units by staying in front, but worse outside of it. It's roughly similar cost to the KV1 from the official materials, 5 fuel more I think? I´m very interested in the Churchill. An Allied heavy tank more is going to be fun - even from the Axis perspective. It´s not like Ostheer doesn´t have a buffed StuG since the last patch. StuGs might become more viable again. Right now I´m still stuck in the Pak40 + Panzer IV meta. |

DPS stands for Damage Per SECOND which is as dependent on damage as is it is on reload.
Yeah and since I know the Elefant and Firefly had similar reload times I was looking at the damage. |
And the Firefly hits harder but slower then the jackson, and has more health. How can something hit harder than a Jackson? More than 200-240 damage? Lol.
How much damage does the Elefant do? So Brits get that with a turret? |

Talking about the gun including the vehicles armed with it.The firefly is armed with a 17pounder. So is the Comet. Late game you are probably facing 17ps only. At least it looked like that to me. |

Seeing how some people here hinted on the Brits totally obliterating OKW in the future patch, I wouldn´t change anything in their design currently. See how it´s going to turn out and bring out an according patch asap after the British release. |

I wouldn´t change the Ostheer sniper because of the Brits. That´s a problem with the (new) factions, not the Sniper. You can´t let the Ostheer Sniper face 6 men squads and 4 man squads at the same time and expect it to be balanced in all cases.
Just give Brits the appropriate counter soon enough. Imo the Jeep should be (re-)introduced to the US.
I can already see the Sniper becoming shit again versus Soviets with people whining here. Then it will disappear from the game again. |
