Mirror balancing is bad imo.
I think StuG should remain at 50 range but compensate with better frontal armor. Currently the armor is so weak that even at vet 2 it is hard to bounce shots with the StuG even when regular mediums shoot at it.
Also the Jackson is currently at 55 range iirc.

I'm not sure whether you are trolling since this statement is obviously wrong. But I'll take the bait. - The Elefant was nerfed quite hard and is doctrinal. I would say both units are mediocre at best. - Panzerwerfer sucks, comes in the latest tier anc costs 80 fuel. All to wipe some models off weapon crews. - Schreck is better than Piat but restricted to a 340 mp squad. - MG and Vickers are pretty similar. The difference in performance is marginal. - Pak43 is doctrinal and can be deleted with abilities. Brace makes the 17 Pounder stronger imo. Both weapons are static and have little usage in this game. But locking down a corridor for tanks for a longer time is done better by the 17p imo. - Wehrmacht mortar is different to the mortar pit. The pit can outrange the mortar crew. I wouldn't say the Ost mortar is better. Now compare the poitns you made with the ones I made earlier. Your points proove marginal, small differences at best. Meanwhile the points I made will decide between mutliple squad wipes (Centaur > Ostwind) general field presence (Brit infantry > Ost infantry) or lategame tank domination (Churchill). Stugs overnerf is real. SadlyThey had to overnerf the StuG to make people go for the mediocre Panther. The real thing that crippled Ostheer were the lategame nerfs. I could live with them having weaker infantry since it was compensated by good lategame qualities. But those were nerfed. Brummbär was good but nowadays can't deflect shots. Panther is mediocre, the Tiger lacks purpose. Currenty Ostheer is just an inferiorversion to the Brits. Bren Infantry section > Ostheer infantry Cromwell > Panzer IV Centaur > Ostwind Churchill > Tiger or Panther (Apples and Oranges here, but the former is simply the better choice in most scenarios) Since Ostheer lacks a 60 range td, their armor should be better imo. Some of Osts vehciles simply need more frontal armor, namely the Tiger and the StuG. Lastly Ostwind needs to perform. In: COH2 Gameplay |

i wonder could it work if they were given elite gren rifles, lowered some stats and cost and make the come same time as grens from barracks for something like 280mp and stgs are now upgrade. They could function as alternative for grenadiers. upgrades could be locked behind tech 2 or 1, depending.That would be too close to Obersoldaten for my taste. The biggest problem I have with PGs is that you bleed a lot more manpower with them than with Grens for a somewhat redundant role (AI). If I want to get my PGs into medium range against BARs and Brens I can count on losing a model in the process. Meanwhile Grens can sit back and use their MG42 from cover. I think the purpose of PGs should be more on assaulting (since they have assault rifles). To accomplish that role better they need to be a bit more resistant to incoming fire. If not then it's always better to sit back with long range, cheaper Grens. Another issue is that the squad is 4 men. Now try to assault with a high cost 4 men squad. In: COH2 Balance |

I find it strange in a thread which has descended into allied TDs op, no one has mentioned Ele or Jt (which are near unkillable when microd and defended) and have no problem killing any allied tank or td.That's bullshit. The Elefant and JT are designed to be flanked. The supporting AT can be swarmed by infantry and it's essentially a free kill after that. After the Elefant nerfs the ISU-152 is way better than any of the German counterparts simply because of the ability to fight infantry while being almost as good as the German stuff in the AT department. I voted no. Blobbing is a strategic decision. I'm against restricting it. Often you can't avoid blobbing since some maps offer narrow choke points where you have to keep your infantry together (for example Ettelbrück Station). All maps have cutoff points where it is good to have a high infantry presence. Concentrating your forces is part of gameplay. The real issue with blobbing is the underperformance of some anti blobbing assets. What annoys me the most is the lack of survivability for all MGs but the Maxim. Seeing BAR, Bren, MG42 blobs walking head on into the MG arc and sniping crew-models while another model is trying to recrew the gun (again and again so that the MG can't fire a single salvo) is bullshit. If that could be fixed it would be a start. Also some anti blobbing assets are underperforming: Namely the MG34 and Ostwind. In: COH2 Gameplay |

Depends. Ostheer has the StuG and Pak. Thus it is okay. Against OKW it is downright OP. Even when setting up traps, it can easily escape. Panzer IV bounces, Panther and JP IV shoot too slowly. Raketenwerfer is abysmal and will get easily decrewed. In: COH2 Balance |
