i think its fine on medium tanks. it makes sense for them cause theyre faster than infantry and you can use secure mode to quickly go around the map and secure points.
on a heavy tank though. its completely pointless. the tank is too slow to be used as a fast capper. its armor is too weak if you wanted to try and use it to take a contested vp under fire.
Its kind of ajoke compared to the kind of abilities and upgrades german tanks can get like smoke, blitz. spotting scope.. you know stuff that you can actually use.

despite popular beleif. the axis isnt supposed to just be a faction filled with better versions of everything that the soviets has. |
tbh i think its excellent that you guys actually play the game with the community and test out potential exploitive strategies and are actively aware whats going on in the community. In terms of producing quality patches in the future I think its a great thing.
It perhaps would have been best for him to exercise the option to not speak to someone who was clearly having a bad day. But I'd rather have the chance of this minor incident to happen than to have a relic that tries to isolate themselves from the community. |
your best bet is to try lowering each of the settings to minimum one at a time. (while leaving the others as they are) then you can find out which setting is causing the most load time, and then hopefully go from there.
I imagine the amount of ram your video card has and other video card factors play a significant role and its not just about hard drive speed. |
the issue isnt if falls beats shocks (they dont)
the issue is that they beat almost every infantry except for shocks. So they can instantly wipe out retreating units, instantly wipe out weapons teams, instantly wipe out engineers...
THe issue isnt even that they can wipe these teams out, its that they can spawn instantly and do it. The entire process from deciding to use falls, to deploying them, to wiping their is like a 5 second deal.
Most abilities take 5 seconds or more just to activate.
Theres no way you can react to that when they spawn. and theres no strategy involved. theres no preplanning or tactics or anything.
Theres a big difference between deploying behind enemy lines, hiding, moving about/scouting for a flanking attack... and just merely materializing and instantly going in to battle. |
considering that theres also the inconvenience of going to pick them up. (spending time out of battle to get an upgrade) its hard to justify even if they cut the muntion costs by 10.
I dont think bars should be giving an insane % boost like 80% like many other upgrade since the riflemen base DPS is already pretty good. But they need to increase the value of the BARs some.
I'm thinking the munitons cost needs be cut by a good 30 munitions, maybe a little less if they choose to increase the value some by adding damage or some other buff to go with it. |
id really just like a more minialmized UI.
I think its weird that coh1 had a smaller UI panel, but the panel had more information on it. |
I think its fine as it is. You gotta retreat earlier than other threats when smgs or assault rifles start getting close.
The thing they need to fix is when the weapon carrier dies there is a bug that sometims causes the team to stop retreating. |
i feel like crafting would open up too much room for people to find abusive/OP bulliten combos.
Right now bulletins only work because they only provide very small advantages. If they had better stats thered be serious balance issues. |
i buy one, set it to hold fire. and just use it for scouting the zone just ahead of the frontline
I try to use the beacon sometimes just cause its free. though tbh i dont really get the benefit of it much. Itd be cool if you could paradrop in faster the closer the target zone is to the beacon. but just for tightening the drop radius there isnt much advantage.I think i might have purposefully used it one time ever to airdrop an at gun in an urban area of a map.
I think itd atleast help if pathfinders would also paradrop in like the rest of the commander abilities. Then you could use them for real scouting. |
