I have to say those USF players were not particularly good, the one at top was doing all right until the end but his ally gave him absolutely no support.
Made a video if your interested pointing out the mistakes and solid made by both sides, love the final flank that you made Bastard. Video here:
You want to make the Brits even stronger late game? Jesus Christ no.
Just make it so it doesn't have to be upgraded and 250mp and it will be fine.
The fact that you have to upgrade it combined with it's cost is what makes it useless now that Brit emplacements were nerfed into uselesness.
Here is your mistake. At guns is not hard counter to a tanks by any means. Not even for light vehicles.
And i can tell you even more - going in close range with tremendously expensive tank comet is to throw grenades at at gun is super risky, coz if there ever be faust, comet with damaged engine as good as dead. If you let it do this without fausting, you did even bigger mistake he did with his comet and got exactly what you deserved.
Ironically I was the person driving in the Comet, I had thrown a White Phos shell forcing his grens of then I charged with a Comet and AVRE, the AVRE blew up his remaining Grens and my Comet got through with only 10% HP knocked off because I actually know how to launch a combined arms assault.
As some people know I prefer to play Allies but I felt the ability to throw free grenades at vet 3 is rather OP not to mention redundant, no need to get so hostile over this.
To say AT guns are not the hard counter may have some merit at the current situation, but honestly they should be able to scare off a Comet. Now I'm glad it has some abilities as I'm not in favour of symmetrical balance but I think the free grenades make it to easy to decrew AT guns with this tank or heaven forbid wipe some of those Grend squads trying to faust from cover. Also, so what if you faust a Comet, a good player will back his Comet up like I did, with Infantry and Armour and even a Vickers to suppress any Inf if it becomes dangerous. But then again alot of the people I play against are either spamming Paks or spamming ISG's.
I'd just like to know what everybody think of this. I don't think that the Comet should be throwing free grenades automatically at Vet 3 due to it's speed and potential to go even faster when combined with the emergency war speed ability. add into this the units ability to throw a player aimed grenade for munitions and it basically defeats any AT guns that can be sent against it. This allows this tank which is a hard counter to medium tanks to also be very good against it's hard counter making it very strong against Ost heer especially.
In my opinion this is a tad bit to strong especially when it's muni abilities are meant to handle the AT guns. It makes those abilities redundant and expensive.
So what do you guys think Is this fine since it's vet 3 or really bad design like I think?
They are a very strong unit that I get every game in a 1v1. They have a very high wipe potential if you get close and catch an enemy out. On top of that they have massive utility in the form of demo traps and mines. Adding an extra man would make them better than a rifleman squad especially if you give em double bars and we'd see blobs of assault engies instead of a mixed force.
The best way to employ them is 1 for every 3 riflemen and use them to flank. In that employment they are borderline OP.
1,6 pounder AT has almost the same price with R-43/57mm AT but much better stats than them.
2,Pak40 and 6 pounder have the very same stats except 6 pounder has an extra 50% accuracy vs vehicles and the TWP.Then the 6 pounder is much cheaper.
3,Ostheer is desighed as a mid-late faction too. As Relic said...
Just an example, you build a panzerwerfer to counter the brits, then this CAO ability will kill the werfer by the first shell when you use werfer to barrage. Because it doesn't need line of sight and the brits player can suddenly use this CAO on the werfer in FOW, and it hit the ground so quickly...
I know they want to sell their productions but ENOUGH!
1. Looking at stats is tunnel vision. A R-43 can garrison a buiilding and can be retreated a QF 6-Pounder cannot. These are extra abilities that you are getting essentially for free if the 6 Punder costs the same.
2. The Pak 40 fires faster than the 6 Pounder and has the overwhelmingly bullshit stun ability. For 30 Muni you can currently guarantee a kill on an enemy tank as Wehrmacht. Not to mention a Pak will invariably be supported by Grenadiers who can snare it while the Brits have no such snare.
3. They where rebalanced into a faction that is strong in all tiers but doesn't dominate any particular one just like how the Soviets were rebalanced into a mid game faction which can, depending on doctrines choosen scale into the late game.
Your example has nothing to do with the 6 pounder so I honestly don't know why you are citing it.
You assume it's to sell productions but that is simple negativity bias. You are assuming malice on Relics part when simple incompetence is usually the answer. We all know #RelicCannotIntoBalance up until recently the Ostheer Sniper was ridiculous and now flames are very strong but ironically perfect imbalance is citing by game design classes world wide as to how to make a good game. Perfect imbalance is also called Asymmetrical balance and it usually holds audiences longer because the meta constantly evolves as counters are found for op units then everyone starts playing the counter to the counter. A great video can be found here on what perfect imbalance is and how it leads to better games.
